All Day
Outclassed by Arnold Allen
FeatherweightUFC
March 16, 2019
Rinaldi lost to Arnold Allen via unanimous decision (26-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night in London on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Rinaldi never truly threatened Allen in this one, as every bit of offense he mounted was met with a stiff counter. The two men were relatively equal on leg kicks upon first viewing, but Allen maintained a large edge in significant strikes landed to the head. Rinaldi did show a strong chin, as Allen sprinted for the finish in the final 10-15 seconds of each round but was ultimately unsuccessful. Rinaldi has now alternated wins and losses in five UFC bouts.

Facing Arnold Allen in London
FeatherweightUFC
January 28, 2019
Rinaldi (14-6-0) is scheduled to face Arnold Allen (13-1-0) on March 16 at UFC London, freelance MMA journalist Simon Head reports.
ANALYSIS
Rinaldi has alternated wins and losses through his first four UFC fights, though he'll at least come into the London match with some momentum after defeating Jason Knight in a unanimous decision back in Nov. 3 in New York City. The 31-year-old American will have the disadvantage of being on unfamiliar territory, however, as the London crowd will likely be backing Allen, a British native, heavily.
Dominates Jason Knight on mat at UFC 230
FeatherweightUFC
November 3, 2018
Rinaldi defeated Jason Knight via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-25, 30-26) at UFC 230 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Easy work. In a fight that lasted 15 minutes, Rinaldi was credited with 11:46 worth of control time and it seemed to be even more than that. Rinaldi deserves credit for recognizing that Knight has a massive hole in his game and taking advantage of it. Rinaldi never seemed to be all that close to finishing the fight other than a rear-naked choke in Round 2, but he dominated throughout the course of the contest. A long time former lightweight, Rinaldi is big and physical for the 145-pound division. The drop down may do wonders for the 31-year-old moving forward.

September 6, 2018
Rinaldi will face off against Jason Knight at UFC 230 on Nov. 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Alexander K. Lee of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Rinaldi has been victorious in just one of his first three UFC fights. He most recently lost via first-round TKO to Gregor Gillespie in January. Rinaldi will be dropping back down to 145 pounds for the first time since the summer of 2015. Knight, who started 4-1 in UFC, has dropped his past three fights. Most recently, he lost via split decision to Makwan Amirkhani during UFC Liverpool in May.
Dominated Saturday in native Charlotte
FeatherweightUFC
January 27, 2018
Rinaldi lost to Gregor Gillespie via TKO (punches) at 4:46 of Round 1 at UFC on FOX 27 on Saturday in Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
That is why Rinaldi entered the fight as a +425 underdog. As soon as he found himself on his back the fight was over. Rinaldi did the best he could to try to work his way back to his feet but the difference in grappling between the two men was monumental and too much to overcome. The fact Rinaldi is from Charlotte is the only reason he found himself on the main portion of a FOX card. Now just 1-2 in the UFC and with just one knockout win in his entire 19-fight career, the 30-year-old Rinaldi is nothing more than roster depth.
Submits Herrera in Round 1 at UFC Fight Night 114
FeatherweightUFC
August 5, 2017
Rinaldi defeated Alvaro Herrera via submission (Von Flue Choke) at 2:01 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night 114 on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
Rinaldi made short work of Herrera, but he didn't come out unscathed. After an uneventful first minute Rinaldi shot for the takedown and got caught on the way in. He got cut badly and was almost caught in a submission by "Chango." However, the American welterweight persevered, defended the choke, and locked in a submission of his own which led to the tap. Rinaldi looked good in his first UFC victory, but it was such a short fight that it was difficult to gauge his overall skills. As a Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt his submission game is clearly above-average, and he proved that tonight.
