The 63-year-old veteran usually attempts/races in the Daytona 500 each season, but that's usually the extent of his racing these days. Cope will usually drive for small, underfunded race teams just to get into the Great American Race.
The 60-year-old Cope made just 3 starts last season with StarCom in the No. 99 Chevrolet. He should be in line for a similar part-time schedule with this race team in 2019.
He made a couple starts with StarCom Racing at the end of last season. Although no plans have been announced, it would be reasonable to assume Cope and this small race team will make a handful of starts in the upcoming season.
Unknown plans in 2016. Usually races his own team part-time in some capacity.
Cope is a free agent driver in 2013.
