Mike Skinner: Signs with Hamilton Means Racing
Sprint Cup
May 2, 2012
The No. 52 Hamilton Means Racing Toyota will have Skinner as the driver going forward in the 2012 Sprint Cup season. Skinner is scheduled to make his debut for the team at Darlington Raceway in the Bojangles' Southern 500, .
ANALYSIS
The NASCAR veteran has more or less been idled most of 2012. Skinner has been attempting to compete in the Camping World Truck Series with little success. The newly formed No. 52 team will put the former truck series champion behind the wheel of their Toyota Camry. This team will have to qualify on lap time week-in and week-out, so Skinner faces lots of challenges in this ride.
