Dakoda Armstrong

JGL Racing

2017 Fantasy Racing Outlook

Armstrong makes a return to JGL Racing in 2017. He rejoins the No. 28 team that he spent all of last season with in the Xfinity Series. Armstrong posted a surprising Top-5 finish at Iowa Speedway during the summer, and that was it for his Top-5 and Top-10 efforts. Otherwise, the 25-year-old driver reeled off a steady diet of Top-20 finishes for most of the season, and only posted one DNF. That led to a reasonably good 19.2 average finish. Armstrong will again pair with crew chief Steven Lane and look to raise the bar higher for this small race team. While Top 10’s will still be scarce, the consistency should remain the same and he’ll be running and competitive at the end of most every event.
