If any driver in the Sprint Cup Series is capable of breaking Jimmie Johnson's stranglehold on the championship, it's Carl Edwards. The Roush Fenway Racing star in certain respects had a better season in 2008 than the three-time champion. Edwards won more races (9), collected more Top 5s (19) and more Top 10s (27) than Johnson.
