Crawford is debating whether to have surgery to repair the torn tendon band on his right middle finger, the St. Petersburg Times reports.

Recommendation:
Unfortunately for his owners, Crawford said that he expects to miss six-to-eight weeks either way, meaning that you can't count on him to post any fantasy production for the rest of the season. Owners in keeper leagues should take note. If your team is out of contention this season, Crawford could make for a great target if he's on a roster that's still in the mix and looking to pick up an outfielder to fill Crawford's spot, regardless if they have less keeper value.
