Matri will now be with his fourth club in 12 months as he is moving to Genoa, Football Italia reports.

Matri is viewed as a replacement for Alberto Gilardino who is close to moving to China. Last summer Matri came to Los Angeles with Juventus, then moved to AC Milan shortly after returning to Italy and then to Fiorentina in January.

Matri had two goals and an assist during Fiorentina's 3-0 win over Catania on Sunday. Matri was making his season-debut for the Viola, who acquired him this week from AC Milan.

Even more impressive was that Matri did all of his damage in the first half. It was quite a performance for the 29-year old, who managed to score only once in 15 games for Milan this season before the move. He's hardly a long-term solution for Fiorentina, who are still waiting for Giuseppe Rossi (knee) and Mario Gomez (knee) to return.

AC Milan never should have brought back Matri. He was only a temporary fix when Giampaolo Pazzini was out injured. Now at Fiorentina he'll be a temporary fix as Giuseppe Rossi and Mario Gomez are out injured.

The veteran striker has made the move to the club he grew up with as Juventus has sold him to AC Milan, Football Italia reports.

Adriano Galliani has made many great moves as the vice president of AC Milan. This is not one of them. Matri is a fine player and is worth the money the club paid for him. However, he could end up third string in a few short months after Giampaolo Pazzini returns from injury and even now is behind Mario Balotelli. The club had bigger needs in other positions.
