Aguero came off in the second half of Saturday's match against Southampton after suffering an ankle injury, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Aguero twisted his ankle while landing after a header attempt and was in visible pain. If he has to miss any additional time, Wilfried Bony, who came on for Aguero in the 64th minute, would likely be the starter.

Aguero scored Manchester City's lone goal during Saturday's 4-1 defeat to Liverpool.

Aguero got the start in his return from a hamstring injury because Wilfried Bony was out with his own hamstring issue, and the Argentine picked up right where he left off, as his seven league goals this season trail only Jamie Vardy (12) and Romelu Lukaku (nine). He came off in the 66th minute given the long layoff, plus Manchester City will face off against Italian giants Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Aguero (hamstring) is starting Saturday against Liverpool.

Aguero has been out since suffering the injury during the October international break, but he'll slot right into the starting lineup Saturday, with Wilfried Bony out with a hamstring injury. Aguero is unlikely to play 90 minutes, but he can do plenty of damage in a little amount of time.

Aguero (hamstring) has been deemed fit for Saturday's match against Liverpool.

Aguero has been out since suffering the injury during the October international break, but he's finally recovered enough to play. He could very well start in his return, as Wilfried Bony is sidelined with his own hamstring strain, though Aguero is highly unlikely to play 90 minutes.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Aguero (hamstring) could start Saturday against Liverpool, with Wilfried Bony struggling with a hamstring injury, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Aguero was expected to return for Saturday's match after missing more than a month, though he was likely to be worked back in gradually to ensure he didn't re-injury the muscle. He's an excellent fantasy option when fit, but it's certainly a possibility he's unable to play 90 minutes given the long layoff.

Aguero is still on track to return from his hamstring injury after the international break, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Aguero suffered his injury during the last international break, and he will use the November time to finish up his recovery instead of playing for Argentina. Wilfried Bony has played well during Aguero's absence, the the latter is expected to get his starting job back when he's fully fit.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini said Friday that Aguero continues to recover from his hamstring injury, and the club is hoping he will return after the international break.

Wilfried Bony has been starting for Aguero, though Kelechi Iheanacho has played well in cup matches and could snag a start this weekend against Norwich City.
