Aguero (knee) came on for Stevan Jovetic in the 67th minute of Manchester City's 1-1 draw with Everton on Saturday, finishing with two shots (none on goal) on 13 total touches.

Aguero was not expected to start the match after such a long layoff, but manager Manuel Pellegrini lauded his effort after the match, while also indicating that he could be back in the starting XI next weekend against Arsenal. Despite missing time, Aguero is second in the Prem with 14 goals this season, one behind Chelsea's Diego Costa, who took the league-lead Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Aguero (knee) has returned to outdoor training and he could feature Saturday against Everton, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Aguero has been sidelined for nearly five weeks with the knee injury, but his return will be a huge boost for a City side that finds itself tied atop the Premier League table with Chelsea. Aguero sustained the injury against Everton in early December, and while he could be available, he is unlikely to start after such a long layoff.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Aguero was expected to return from a knee injury in about a month, but secondary scans revealed he twisted a knee ligament that could take longer to recover from, reports the Daily Mail.

A twisted ligament is similar to the injury that David Silva suffered at the end of October, which he is still recovering from. Manchester City will likely have to rely on Edin Dzeko up front in the meantime.

Aguero is expected to be sidelined for at least one month after suffering a knee injury during Saturday's Premier League match against Everton, The Guardian reports.

Aguero will undergo additional scans either Monday or Tuesday, but the club is confident he did not suffer a major ligament tear. With Stevan Jovetic out with a hamstring injury and Edin Dzeko not fully fit following a calf ailment, Man City will be very light up front for Wednesday's huge Champions League match against Roma.

Aguero suffered a knee injury during Saturday's match against Everton and he is unlikely to play in Tuesday's Champions League match against Roma, manager Manuel Pellegrini said after the match.

Aguero suffered the injury less than two minutes into the match and had to be taken off moments later. Jose Pozo replaced him for much of the match, though Edin Dzeko will likely start Tuesday's huge tie with Roma.

Aguero had two goals and an assist during Manchester City's 4-1 win over Sunderland on Wednesday.

Aguero's red-hot form continues, as he now has a Premier League-best 14 goals in 14 appearances this season, while adding five more goals in four Champions League matches. If there's one thing to watch out for, it's that he's been heavily-used of late thanks to Edin Dzeko being sidelined with a calf injury, so it wouldn't be surprising if he got a rest, or at least was limited, in Saturday's match against Everton.

Aguero took a game-high five shots, with one on goal, and picked up two assists during Manchester City's 3-0 win over Southampton on Sunday.

While his league-leading 12 goals is certainly an impressive figure, the assists Sunday were actually Aguero's first two of the Premier League season (he has one during Champions League play as well). Up next is a Wednesday trip to Sunderland, who held Chelsea scoreless Saturday for the first time all season.

Aguero scored a hat trick in Tuesday's 3-2 win against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Aguero underlined his importance to his side by opening the scoring before netting twice in the closing five minutes to ensure City can still qualify for the knockout stages. The Argentinean has five goals in five Champions League games in addition to his 12 in the Premier League.
