Manchester City are hoping to extend Aguero's contract with the club a further year to keep him with the side until 2020, reports the Daily Mail.

The striker has said that he wishes to end his career at Independiente in Argentina when he leaves City, but the Manchester club is hoping that comes one year later than originally anticipated.

On a day where City controlled 66 percent of the possession and took eight more attempts toward goal, there was never a doubt as to whom the victor would be after the hour mark. Aguero's goal was his 14th in the Premier League this season and he now has a four-match goal streak with six goals and an assist over that span. When healthy—a big if—Aguero is one of, if not the best striker in the Premier League.

Kun's fantastic month consists of five goals and an assist in four Premier League games which resulted in two wins and two draws. In addition, he also, netted once in each of the FA and League cup features. Aguero is on fire right now but tough fixtures against league-leaders Leicester and the top defense of Tottenham may dip his fantasy production over the next couple of weeks.

It took a little while to crank up the engine but now Aguero is back to his prolific own. The striker has been absolute stellar of late scoring eight goals and two assists in his last eight games across all competitions and even furthermore six goals and one assist in his last four games. With a total of 13 for the season in Premier League he's definitely in the hunt for the scoring title. Next target for the predator are the Foxes in a crucial six-pointer away from home on Saturday.

Aguero converted a ninth-minute penalty and then equalized late with a beautiful chip over Adrian in the 81st to give him the brace. That's now back-to-back braces for the Argentine, and he has five goals and an assist in his past four matches. In 16 Premier League matches, he has 12 goals and two assists, but his inability to stay on the pitch this season and City's dearth of other attacking options could be problematic if he takes another spell outside the squad.
