Donovan scored the equalizer in Sundayís 2-2 draw at Sporting KC. He converted his only chance in 16 minutes of action as a substitute.

It didnít take Donovan long to add to his league leading goal haul, needing less than two minutes to score upon entering the match. The MLS legend now has 145 career goals and has made it clear that heís still able to produce moments of brilliance. Heíll become more fantasy relevant as he returns to full match fitness and is worth picking up if he ever earns a spot in the starting lineup.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Donovan returned to an MLS pitch for the first time since electing to come out of retirement Sunday as the LA Galaxy defeated Orlando City 4-2 at home.

Donovan returned to the LA Galaxy for the first time in 21 months on Sunday, logging seven minutes of playing time after entering the match late in the second period. The midfielder/forward admitted following the contest that he had a long way to goal before getting back to full speed, but will ultimately get to a point where when LA's coaching staff put him in, "it can mean something."

Donovan is available off the bench for Sunday's match against Orlando City.

Donovan came out of retirement earlier this week to rejoin the Galaxy, and a spot on the bench certainly does little for his fantasy upside. That being said, it wouldn't be surprising to see him feature Sunday, especially with Robbie Keane (also on the bench) just returning from injury.

Donovan will come out of retirement to sign with the Galaxy this week, according to Blake Thomsen of Sports Illustrated.

Donovan retired in 2014 as MLS' all-time leader in goals and assists, and he'll return to the Galaxy without a designated player contract, as they already have three (Robbie Keane, Giovani Dos Santos and Steven Gerrard) on the roster. However, with Gerrard likely to leave after this season, a spot could open up for Donovan after Nigel de Jong was sold to Galatasaray. It will likely take some time for Donovan to get his fitness back up, but he could be an elite fantasy option once he is 100 percent.

Donovan picked up the 136th assist of his MLS career Saturday against Toronto, breaking a tie with former New England Revolution star coach Steve Ralston.

Donovan had three assists last weekend against the Red Bulls and is now the MLS all-time leader in goals and assists. Donovan, who has already announced that he will retire at the end of the season, leads MLS with a career-high 19 assists this season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Donovan will retire at the end of the current MLS season, ESPN FC reports.

Donovan is already Major League Soccer's all-time leading scorer, and after failing to make the US Men's National Team for this summer's World Cup, it's tough to say he's got anything left to accomplish in America. It's been a storied career and he easily goes down as one of the best players ever in US history.

Donovan scored two goals Saturday against the Union, becoming the all-time scoring leader in MLS history.

Donovan came into the match tied with Jeff Cunningham, but he now stands alone at the top with 136 regular season goals. Donovan, who also holds the MLS playoff record with 22 goals, was playing in his first match since he was cut from the U.S. men's national team for this summer's World Cup.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Donovan did not make the final 23-man roster for this summer's World Cup, according to Grant Wahl of Sports Illustrated.

While there have been inklings that this could happen, the decision to leave Donovan off the roster is still shocking. Donovan hasn't been at his best recently, and Jurgen Klinsmann clearly felt he had better players on the squad to compete this summer.
