Speroni (finger) was left off the 18-man lineup for Saturday's match against Chelsea.

Speroni hasn't been available at any point during the first four weeks as he continues to be sidelined with a finger injury. Alex McCarthy will continue to start in the meantime while Speroni's next opportunity to play won't be until Sept. 12 against Manchester City.

Speroni (finger) is back in training, but he will not play Saturday against Aston Villa.

Speroni is recovering from a finger ligament injury, and he continues to be replaced by Alex McCarthy, who has allowed three goals in two starts while making nine saves.

Speroni will be out for three to four weeks due to a finger injury, manager Alan Pardew told the Croydon Advertiser. "Speroni has hurt his finger quite badly and we don't think he's going to be available for three or four weeks," confirmed Pardew.

Speroni will miss this weekend's season opener at Norwich City, home games against Arsenal and Aston Villa, and is questionable to return against Chelsea on Aug. 29. He kept five clean sheets in 36 games last season and signed a one-year contract extension in May. Wayne Hennessey is next up on the depth chart.

Speroni was very consistent for Crystal Palace this season, helping the club to the 10th best defensive record in the league en route to a finish in the top half of the table.

The Argentine started 36 Premier League matches and kept five clean sheets on the process. Speroni signed a new one-year contract with Palace in May and will be back in goal next season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Speroni signed a one-year contract extension Friday, keeping him with the club through next season.

Speroni is about to wrap up his 11th season with Palace, and while it hasn't been a great season from a fantasy perspective, he's still got a firm hold onto the starting job. He'll head into the season finale with just six clean sheets and 88 saves this season.

Speroni conceded the only goal in Tuesday's 1-0 loss to Southampton.

Speroni parried a James Ward-Prowse effort straight into the path of Sadio Mane late-on to seal all three points for the home side. The Argentine has six clean sheets so far this season and will be confident of making it seven next time out against QPR.

Speroni made four saves in Saturday's 3-1 win against West Ham.

Speroni got a strong hand to Enner Valencia's goal bound strike but was unable to keep it out to earn himself a clean sheet. Speroni already has half a dozen clean sheets this season and will find it hard to make it seven on Tuesday against Southampton.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Speroni failed to keep a clean sheet in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Arsenal.

Speroni had no chance with Santi Cazorla's early penalty that made it 1-0, though arguably should have done better with the second goal after palming Danny Welbeck's shot straight into the path of the oncoming Olivier Giroud. Speroni has six clean sheets this season already and will fancy his chances at making it seven next weekend against West Ham.
