Cavani scored two goals in Tuesday's 3-1 Champions League victory over Ajax.

Cavani now has five goals in five Champions League matches this season. He is one of Paris Saint-Germain's best scoring options, but he will face a tough test as PSG finish group play with a trip to Barcelona. When the two teams met back in September, Cavani finished with four shot attempts (one on target) but was unable to score.

After netting in PSG's 2-0 win over Marseille on Sunday, Cavani has now scored in five straight matches in all competitions.

Three goals in Ligue 1 play and two in the Champions League have Cavani finally looking like the player PSG bought from Napoli before last season. However, his role may change a bit now that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has returned from his heel injury. Cavani will look to extend his club goal-streak to six games Nov. 22 against Metz.

Cavani scored in his return from a one-game suspension to help Paris Saint Germain defeat Lorient 2-1 on Saturday.

Cavani missed PSG's match last weekend after being shown two yellow cards in his most recent appearance. However, in his Saturday return, Cavani led the Parisians with four shot attempts (two on goal) and scored for his third straight game across all competitions. The Uruguayan now has five goals in Ligue 1 this season.

Cavani scored from the spot in the 55th minute but was then sent off after picking up one yellow card for his celebration and another for grabbing the referees arm while protesting the first yellow card during PSG's 3-1 win over Lens on Friday.

Cavani got the spot kick after drawing the foul in the box, but his celebration in front of the Lens supporters was apparently bad enough to warrant a yellow card. The goal was his fourth in 10 league appearances this season, but he'll have to sit out before trying to begin a goal streak.

Cavani scored in the 28th minute of Paris Saint-Germain's 1-1 Champions League draw with Ajax on Wednesday.

Cavani is off to a decent start this season, as he now has three goals in six club matches in all competitions, with two coming during Ligue 1 play. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic fit again, Cavani will have the benefit of having defenders worry about the Swedish striker, which should open up more space.

Cavani scored in the 57th minute of PSG's 2-0 win over Bastia on Saturday.

With strike-partner Zlatan Ibrahimovic suffering a back injury just 16 minutes into Saturday's match, Cavani will surely have to shoulder a bigger scoring loan if the Swede is forced to miss any time. Cavani has been linked to a number of clubs this summer, but if Ibrahimovic is sidelined for awhile, PSG may not be able to afford losing Cavani's production.

Cavani took five shots, with one on goal, during Paris Saint-Germain's Ligue 1 opener against Reims on Friday.

Cavani had a shot saved in the 77th minute and then barely missed a header in stoppage time that could have given PSG the victory. The Uruguayan striker has been heavily linked to Liverpool of late, as well as a number of different clubs this summer, but as of now, he'll stay in Paris and be one of the finer fantasy forwards in Ligue 1.
