Rangel (suspension) has returned to the pitch to compete in both Sunday's 2-0 victory over Leicester and Tuesday's 2-1 loss to Liverpool in the Capital One Cup.

Rangel received a red card back on Oct. 4 and was forced to the bench for Swansea's match against Stoke City on Oct. 19. However that's all behind him now as he'll continue to be available for Saturday's match against Everton.

Rangel (suspension) won't be available during Swansea City's match against Stoke City on Sunday since he was charged with a red card during the Swans' previous match against Sunderland.

Rangel's next opportunity to get on the pitch will be against Leicester City on Oct. 25. In his absence, Dwight Tiendalli (groin) or Jazz Richards may see time in replacement.

Rangel (leg) was able to play 68 minutes during Swansea's friendly against AFC Bournemouth on Friday.

Rangel sat out Tuesday's friendly against Exeter with a dead leg, but it was obviously a pretty minor injury since he recovered Friday. Moving forward, he'll likely play a crucial part in Swansea's back line defense this upcoming EPL season.

Rangel sat out Tuesday's friendly against Exeter with a dead leg, Swansea's Official Site reports.

Rangel was able to play 45 minutes during Swansea's friendly against Plymouth on Sunday, so it seems reasonable to assume that he and the coaching staff decided to give his minor injury time to heal with such a short layover in between matches. At this point, Rangel seems like a viable candidate to assume a spot in the starting XI when he and his teammates take on Manchester United on Aug. 16.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Rangel has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a groin strain he suffered in the Swans' 4-1 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday.

Rangel was a mainstay in the Swansea back line, and will end the season having recorded one assist to go with six clean sheets.

Rangel recorded an assist in Swansea's 2-3 loss to Everton on Saturday.

Rangel's assist was his first of the season. The Spanish defender doesn't get involved enough on the attack, and Swansea hasn't been able to notch enough clean sheets this season to make him relevant in most fantasy formats.

Rangel's freak hamstring injury was nearly set to end his season after he fell down stairs while carrying his 18-month old son, but it looks like he has avoided severe injury.
