Hulk is not in the starting XI for Brazil's World Cup match against Mexico on Tuesday due to a hamstring injury, FIFA.com reports.

While Hulk downplayed the injury, it's clearly enough to limit him against the Mexicans. Ramires will start in his place, as he eyes a return to fitness for Brazil's final group stage match, which occurs Monday against Cameroon.

Hulk, who left Sunday's training session early with a hamstring injury, said it is not serious and he expects to face Mexico on Tuesday, The Guardian reports.

Hulk had a similar issue in the World Cup opener against Croatia on Thursday but he does not believe it will cost him any time on the pitch. Chelsea midfielder Ramires took Hulk's spot in the first-team training session Sunday, and he could be an option to start if Hulk does have to be limited.

Hulk was seen leaving Brazil's training session with an apparent leg injury, ESPN FC reports.

Hulk's status for the host nation's clash with Mexico on Tuesday is unknown, as the Brazilian Football Confederation hasn't commented on the incident. If the Zenit St. Petersburg forward is unable to go, Bernard will likely fill in on the left flank.

Hulk scored from the spot in the 69th minute of Zenit St. Petersburg's 2-4 loss to Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday.

Hulk took four shots on the day, with three on goal, but only the penalty found the back of the net. He has been linked to numerous clubs in Europe, and could move in the summer transfer window, although he continues to find success in Russia, scoring 13 goals in all competitions this season.
