Ruiz scored the lone goal off a header Friday against Italy that resulted in a Costa Rican victory.

Ruiz bolted behind the Italian defense to receive a cross that was beautifully headed off the crossbar and into the goal. He has provided Costa Rica with a veteran presence and led by example with his first ever World Cup goal. Ruiz stands a good chance to be in another fortuitous position when Costa Rica faces England on Tuesday.

Ruiz has officially joined PSV on loan for the rest of the season, Get West London reports.

Ruiz played in the Eredivisie before joining Fulham in 2011. Since Renee Meulensteen took over for Martin Jol, Ruiz has fallen out of the rotation and has featured just two times. His lack of recent playing time should mean the move will not have drastic fantasy implications.

Ruiz is close to signing a deal that will move him to PSV Eindhoven on loan for the rest of the season, the Daily Mail reports.

Ruiz has recently been linked with Spanish side Real Betis, but it appears PSV may have come in with a decent enough bid for his services. The 28-year old Costa Rican has fallen out of favor with the team, making just 12 Premier League appearances this season. He would be returning to the Eredivise, which he left in 2011 to join Fulham, previously playing for FC Twente.

Ruiz may look to transfer out of Fulham in order to get as fit as possible ahead of this summer's World Cup, Sky Sports reports.

Ruiz has one goal and three assists on the season, but has not featured for Fulham in either of their last two Premier League matches. The Costa Rican striker may want more playing time than just seven starts in 16 Premier League matches and could force a move to get him more action leading up to the World Cup.

Ruiz was able to play through the back injury last week but has struggles recently to provide any offensive production, managing zero shots in his last two Premier League appearances.

Ruiz (back) played through back pain last Monday and will have a late fit test to determine his availability for Saturday's match against Tottenham, reports the West London Sport.

Ruiz has played well as of late, picking up a goal and two assists in his last three Premier League matches. However, he has only played in five matches this season due to an ankle injury earlier in the year.

Ruiz used two corner kicks to pick up two assists during Monday's 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

When in the lineup, Ruiz has been a regular contributor to the Fulham attack. He has now played 90 minutes in back-to-back matches since injuring his ankle over a month ago and appears to be healthy going forward. Ruiz now has two assists along with one goal on the season.

Ruiz scored on a wonderful shot from outside the penalty area Saturday against Cardiff City. The goal was not enough as Fulham lost 2-1. Ruiz came off the bench in the match's 41st minute as he is returning from an ankle injury.

The goal was Ruiz's first on the season. Ruiz's value remains low as Fulham have been struggling on the attack this season.
