De Jong scored and assisted in Wednesday's 2-2 draw against Rostov. He finished with two shots, two successful tackles and 12 aerials won.

De Jong was a monster for PSV up front and he'll have plenty of value when they host Rostov next in UCL play. However, in Munich next match, De Jong will have a harder time getting much going. He has three goals in the last five matches for PSV.

De Jong is suspended for Wednesday's Champions League match against Atletico Madrid due to yellow-card accumulation in the group stage.

De Jong's absence will be a big one for PSV, as he leads the Eredivisie with 17 goals this season. Maxime Lestienne recently returned from injury, which could allow him to start in de Jong's place.

De Jong signed a five-year contract with PSV Eindhoven on Saturday after transferring from Borussia Monchengladbach, the Daily Mail reports.

De Jong had a poor spell with Newcastle and didn't do much for the Bundesliga side either. He'll look to get his career back on track in the Netherlands, and at 23 years old, he still has plenty of time to do just that.

De Jong is set to return from his ankle injury to face Cardiff City on Saturday, the club's official web site reports.

De Jong, who is on loan from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach, missed last Monday's trip to Arsenal due to the ankle injury he sustained the week prior against Swansea City. The forward was made 11 Premier League appearances since joining in January, but only has one assist to show for it.

De was subbed off after 40 minutes Saturday against Swansea City after suffering an ankle injury, reports.

Manager Alan Pardew said after the match that de Jong's injury "is not too bad," which is certainly encouraging with only three matches left in the season. He has been in-and-out of the starting XI since joining at the end of January from Borussia Monchengladbach, and he has failed to score in 11 appearances.

De Jong has completed his move to Newcastle from Borussia Monchengladbach, the Daily and Sunday Express reports.

De Jong made a high priced switch from FC Twente in 2012 to the Bundesliga side where he has struggled this season. The Dutch international will provide much needed depth to the Toon attack with Yohan Cabaye gone.

De Jong has traveled to Newcastle to undergo a medical exam before finalizing a loan move to Newcastle, according to the Daily Mirror.

Borussia Monchengladbach confirmed that the striker was on his way to have a medical exam. He has only featured 13 times for the German side this year, and has not claimed any starts yet this season, but was very productive before joining his current side.
