De was subbed off after 40 minutes Saturday against Swansea City after suffering an ankle injury, Goal.com reports.

Manager Alan Pardew said after the match that de Jong's injury "is not too bad," which is certainly encouraging with only three matches left in the season. He has been in-and-out of the starting XI since joining at the end of January from Borussia Monchengladbach, and he has failed to score in 11 appearances.
