Injuries to some key players in midweek matches, plus some unsportsmanlike play and a classic transfer market move drastically affected our rankings this week. Sergio Aguero picked up a hamstring injury Wednesday, Romelu Lukaku hurt his ankle, Aaron Ramsey (thigh) suffered a setback in training, Loic Remy was one of several players to pick up red cards, and Yohan Cabaye, who has been begging to leave Newcastle, was sold to Paris Saint-German. Lots of movement, but isn't that what makes the Premier League so much fun?

As a reminder, Chris and I will be drafting against each other to formulate the rankings. A starting XI, plus seven bench spots (two strikers, two midfielders, two defenders, one goalkeeper). I had the first pick this week, Chris had two and three, I took four, and then we alternated after that. The overall rankings below will show how the draft played out, and then we break down each position, in case you're looking for that too.

If you have any feedback, whether on the format of the rankings, where certain players are ranked, or if you think we left someone out who should be on there, please feel free to post that in the comments section below.

Wait, where's Adam Johnson?
Laird: Johnson is easily one of the hottest goal-scorers in the Premier League right now. But as we drafted, neither of us were willing to put Johnson ahead of the midfielders that we ranked.
Mosinski: I considered Johnson with my last midfielder pick, but it ultimately came down to Gerrard or Steve Sidwell. Obviously I don't think Johnson is better than those two.
Laird: It's been a great run, but you can't possibly think he's going to keep this going for the long run...or this week.

On Alvaro Negredo being the ninth-ranked striker
Laird: It's all about the shoulder injury. With Aguero out, he's certainly expected to start again, but that's no guarantee he plays the full 90.

Is that Hatem Ben Arfa on the list?
Mosinski: I like Ben Arfa to fill the Cabaye hole. Plus, with Loic Remy out this week, Ben Arfa should be very active again (five shots last gameweek).
