Gil ended 2003 at high Single-A and ended 2004 in the majors. He's got talent, but boy does he have to work on plate discipline. The D-Backs open with Royce Clayton at shortstop, but if he gets hurt or plays himself out of the job Gil would be the next option. Avoid him until he stops swinging at pitches a foot outside.
