RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson finished with 15 points (6-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, one steal and one block across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 86-76 elimination loss to the Mystics.

Johnson's effort wasn't enough to fuel the Wings to victory as they were eliminated from the playoffs. 2017 was a relatively typical year for the fifth-year forward out of Tennessee, though she noticeably improved her three-point shooting. She went just 4-for-14 (28.6 percent) from distance during 2016, but improved that mark to 21-of-67 (31.3 percent) this season.

September 4, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson finished with 17 points (7-13 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-5 FT), eight rebounds and one assist across 28 minutes during Sunday's 82-81 loss to the Liberty.

Johnson's impressive outing Sunday topped off what was an impressive month of August for the forward. Over that month's seven games, Johnson posted 19.4 points, 12.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals across 34.5 minutes per game -- making her one of the best DFS options available on any given night. She'll look to keep that momentum heading into the postseason.

August 31, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson finished with 25 points (11-16 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds, four steals and one assist across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 99-96 win over the Sky.

After a subpar nine-point, 11-rebound effort where she failed to record a defensive statistic Saturday, Johnson turned up the heat during Wednesday's game. There's no doubt that Johnson has big-game upside and she's been showing it off as of late, minus Saturday's exception. Over her past six games, she's recorded five 20-point performances, four double-doubles and two four-steal games.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson (suspension) will return to action Saturday against the Mystics, Adam Grosbard of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Johnson was suspended one game for throwing a punch at Matee Ajavon of the Dream during last Saturday's tilt. This means Kayla Thornton and Theresa Plaisance will step back and assume their original roles.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson will be suspended for Wednesday's game against the Sun after throwing a punch at Matee Ajavon of the Dream during Saturday's game, Swish Appeal reports.

Johnson will be suspended without pay as a result of her actions, but will rejoin the team Saturday against the Mystics. Kayla Thornton and Theresa Plaisance are in line for a larger role during Johnson's brief absence.

August 20, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson recorded 23 points (6-15 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 8-10), 13 rebounds and two assists across 34 minutes in Saturday's win over the Dream.

Johnson's dominant August continued Saturday, as it was her fourth straight game with at least 20 points and 12 rebounds and her fifth straight double-double overall. Johnson has showed absolutely no signs of slowing down this month, making her one of the premier DFS options in the frontcourt at this time.

August 13, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson tallied 20 points (7-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 12 rebounds, four steals and two assists across 37 minutes during Saturday's 96-88 loss to the Sun.

Johnson has been unstoppable as of late. Over the past three contests, she's averaging 22.7 points, 13.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.3 steals across 37.0 minutes per contest. She's shown plenty of potential throughout the season, but it's all come together for her during this stretch. She was already one of the better frontcourt options available in DFS, but with the streak of impressive outings she's put together, she's been one of the best options regardless of position.

August 11, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson tallied 25 points (8-15 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 9-11 FT), 15 rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block across 40 minutes during Thursday's 101-100 overtime loss to the Mercury.

Johnson, though aided by overtime, continued her streak of double-digit rebounding games Thursday, which now stands at three. She's also now dropped back-to-back 20-point games. Overall, she's working to continue her impressive season, adding to her averages of 14.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals across 30.5 minutes per game. With those types of numbers, she's certainly worth fantasy consideration every night the Wings take the floor

August 8, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson recorded 23 points (9-15 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and one steal across 34 minutes during Sunday's 85-79 victory over the Sparks.

After securing a season-high 16 rebounds Friday, Johnson kept things rolling by dropping her fourth 20-and-10 game of the season. She's dealt with some inconsistent play this season, but her averages of 13.9 points, 8.6 boards, 1.5 assists and 1.1 steals across 30.2 minutes per game make her worthy of fantasy consideration on most nights. She's also clearly no stranger to big games.

August 5, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson tallied 11 points (4-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), a season-high 16 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block across 30 minutes during Friday's 93-80 victory over the Storm.

Johnson, the WNBA's sixth best rebounder at 8.4 per game, rewarded those who deployed her in DFS on Friday by snagging a season-high 16 boards. She also hovered near her other averages of 13.5 points, 1.5 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.4 blocks per game. Overall, it was a great performance by Johnson, who is a strong DFS option whenever the Wings play due to her double-double potential.

July 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson tallied 11 points (4-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 22 minutes during Tuesday's 82-84 win over the Fever.

It was somewhat of a disappointing showing for Johnson, who's typically a bigger force on the boards. However, she still reached double figures in the scoring column for the eighth straight game, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. With averages of 13.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 seals across 29.8 minutes, Johnson will continue to be a double-double threat on any given night, making her an intriguing option in DFS contests.

July 20, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson, heading into the All-Star break, is fifth in the WNBA in rebounds per game (8.5) in addition to her 13.8 points, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals across 30.2 minutes per game.

Johnson is having a typical season, hovering around her career averages of 13.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.3 assists across 29.9 minutes per game. While her main strength is her ability to clean the glass, she's certainly capable of providing decent fantasy value in other areas as well, making her a solid frontcourt option in DFS heading into the All-Star break.

July 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson tallied 16 points (6-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, two steals and one assist across 29 minutes during Wednesday's 100-74 loss to the Lynx.

Johnson bounced back in the scoring department Wednesday after a poor three-game stretch where she shot just 10-for-33 from the field. Though she's suffered from inconsistency scoring and rebounding the ball, her consistent workload of 30.2 minutes per game combined with her overall averages of 13.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals still makes her a solid frontcourt option in DFS.

July 17, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson had 12 points (3-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-6 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, one steal and three turnovers across 23 minutes during Sunday's 106-112 victory over the Sky.

Johnson has struggled with her shot over the last three games, shooting just 10-for-33 from the field and 1-for-6 from the three-point line. However, that hasn't stopped her from reaching double figures in the scoring column, as she's now done that in six straight games. Johnson's impressive ability to pull down rebounds makes her a double-double threat on any given night, so look for her to consistently be a viable fantasy option in DFS contests. Johnson is now averaging 13.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals across 30.2 minutes per game.

July 11, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson supplied 10 points (3-13 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-6 FT) and 13 rebounds across 31 minutes during Sunday's 98-78 loss to the Dream.

Though Johnson snagged a double-double, she shot inefficiently and committed four turnovers, ultimately limiting her fantasy impact. While she's certainly not a world-beating scorer, Johnson is the fifth best rebounder in the WNBA at 8.7 boards per game, so deploying her in DFS on any given night can be easily justified.

July 6, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson posted 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds, three steals, a block, and a season-high seven turnovers across 31 minutes in Wednesday's win against the Dream.

Johnson continues to be a valuable scoring option for the Wings, scoring in the double-figures for the majority of outings, bringing her average to 14.2 points per tilt. She's also productive on the boards, posting 8.5 rebounds per game across 31.5 minutes. Johnson should continue to be deemed a reliable DFS option.

July 3, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson finished Saturday's 89-69 loss to the Storm with 18 points (8-18 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block and one turnover across 32 minutes.

Despite taking a lopsided loss, Johnson was one of just a few bright spots and was able to record her seventh double-double of the season. That brought her season averages up to 14.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals across 31.1 minutes per contest, which confirms she's a viable fantasy option almost every time she takes the court. She'll continue to be a double-double threat moving forward for the Wings, who are now six games behind the first-place Lynx in the Western Conference standings.

June 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson finished with 15 points (6-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, one steal and two blocks across 29 minutes in Sunday's win over the Sun.

Johnson has cooled off considerably after he back-to-back performances with 25-plus points, but she still managed put together a solid outing in line with her season averages Sunday. While Johnson's scoring has been sporadic at times, she has been consistently strong on the glass and is one of the best rebounders in the WNBA, making her a reliable DFS option with some high upside.

June 21, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson accrued 25 points (9-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 81-78 victory over the Stars

Wednesday marked Johnson's third 20-point/10-rebound performance of the season -- an impressive mark by nearly anyone's standards. Unfortunately for those who have consistently deployed her in DFS, those performances are frequently flanked by single-digit affairs in the scoring column, demonstrated by the fact that she averages just 13.4 points per game. Her 31.3 minute-per-game workload does consistently make her a fair option, however. She's also chipping in 8.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.1 steals per contest. Overall, Johnson's workload and big-game potential cement her status as a legitimate DFS threat, though her inconsistencies can make or break a lineup.

June 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson posted a game-high 27 points (10-15 FG, 2-2 3PT, 5-8 FT) along with three rebounds, three assists, and a steal across 32 minutes in Sunday's victory against the Mystics.

Johnson's offensive outing surpasses her previous season-high of 24 points, however her three rebounds marks the least rebounds she's recorded in a game this season. The forward is averaging 13.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 31.3 minutes over 13 games played this 2017 season.

June 17, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson posted 11 points (5-15 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 0-0 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one turnover in 41 minutes during Friday's 102-93 overtime loss to the Liberty.

Johnson is averaging a double-double over her past six games to the tune of 12.0 points and 10.3 boards per game. She's starting to become more of a shot-blocking presence as well, which is a great development for her fantasy stock going forward.

June 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson finished with 10 points (4-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-5 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block and four turnovers across 35 minutes during Tuesday's 87-97 loss to the Sparks.

Johnson continues to be a force on the boards, with Tuesday's double-digit rebound total marking the fifth time she's done that this season. While she hasn't been as consistent with her scoring numbers, Johnson was still able to tally 10 points against the Sparks, allowing her to secure a double-double. Johnson is currently averaging 12.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals across 30.3 minutes per game, making her one of the better forward options in DFS contests on a night-to-night basis.

June 10, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson tallied 24 points (11-20 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks across 36 minutes during Friday's 96-90 victory over the Sparks.

Johnson has been showing out over the past three contests, totaling 65 points, 33 rebounds, six assists, four steals and two blocks. It seems safe to declare that her early-season slump is probably over, making her an enticing DFS option, especially considering her new-found 20-and-10 ability.

June 7, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson tallied 19 points (7-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-5 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one turnover across 36 minutes during Tuesday's 101-89 loss to the Mystics.

Johnson has put together back-to-back impressive performances, combining for 41 points and 21 rebounds during that span. Despite a relatively underwhelming start to the 2017 campaign, she's now bounced back in a big way and has pushed her season averages up to 11.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.0 steal across 28.2 minutes. If she can continue to stay hot from the field, Johnson will be an intriguing fantasy option heading into Friday's tilt with the Sparks.

June 5, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson finished Saturday's 85-91 loss to the Fever with 22 points (9-15 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 13 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two turnovers across 34 minutes.

Johnson was absolutely unstoppable Saturday, notching an impressive double-double, which included a season-high 22 points. She got off 15 shot attempts, which was easily her highest number of the season, as she clearly tried to take on more of the scoring burden. While Johnson's production has been somewhat inconsistent, her ability to log a double-double on a nightly basis gives her plenty of potential as a fantasy option. Johnson now owns season averages of 10.7 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.0 assist across 27.1 minutes.

May 29, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson collected 12 points (4-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, three steals and three turnovers across 24 minutes during Saturday's 65-107 loss to the Mercury.

Johnson had reached double-digit boards in two of three games prior to Saturday's contest, making her four-rebound performance a disappointment. However, she was still able to get it done offensively, scoring 12 points for the second straight contest. Johnson currently averages 10.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game and the fact that she's a double-double threat on any given night should give her plenty of fantasy appeal moving forward.

May 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson recorded a double-double Thursday, collecting 12 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, and one steal across 34 minutes in a victory against the Stars.

It was Johnson's first double-double of the season, as well as the first time in three games that she's scored in double-figures. The veteran holds averages of 9.7 points and 10.7 rebounds in 28.7 minutes per game.

May 16, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson collected nine points (4-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and 14 rebounds across 29 minutes during Sunday's 68-58 victory over the Mercury.

Johnson is no stranger to impressive performances on the glass. Last season, she averaged 8.9 rebounds across 27.9 minutes per game, the same year that she marked her career-high for boards in a game with 22. She also shot 44.2 percent from the field last season en route to 11.3 points per game, making her a consistent double-double threat and a quality fantasy option.
