RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell (knee) is out for the rest of the 2017 season with torn cartilage and a bone bruise in her right knee, HoopFeed.com reports.

Mitchell suffered the injury during a practice prior to Saturday's contest. On the season, the second-year guard will finish averaging 10.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals across 24.9 minutes per game. As a result of her absence, Marissa Coleman and Jazmon Gwathmey could see additional touches.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell (right knee) will sit out Saturday's game against Washington, Doug Feinberg of the Associated Press reports.

Along with Mitchell, Briann January will miss the contest with a knee injury, pushing Marissa Coleman and Jazmon Gwathmey into Saturday's starting lineup. Mitchell's next chance to see the court will be on Aug. 18 against Minnesota.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell finished with four points (0-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 19 minutes during Tuesday's 81-76 loss to the Liberty.

Mitchell's 19 minutes tied for her third-lowest workload on the year and she, understandably, failed to produce up to her averages. The small workload does come as a bit of a surprise considering she had seen at least 24 minutes in each of the previous nine contests. The situation could be worth monitoring, but considering her workload has bounced up and down in the past, it's still a possibility she'll end up seeing her normal workload in the Fever's next outing.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell tallied eight points (2-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, three steals, one assist and one block across 32 minutes during Sunday's 84-82 victory over the Lynx.

Mitchell has cleaned the glass well over the past two games, racking up a combined 15 boards. She also played exceptional defense Sunday, posting a combined four steals and blocks, a feat she's achieved just one other time this season. Mitchell is far from a top-tier fantasy option -- posting 10.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals across 25.1 minutes per game -- but clearly has big-game upside. She could be a fair low-cost player to take a chance on in a good matchup.

July 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell had 10 points (4-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one turnover across 26 minutes during Tuesday's 82-84 loss to the Wings.

Mitchell's fantasy value continues to be reliant on her scoring totals, which more often than not makes her a rather unappealing option in DFS contests. That said, she does have the occasional outburst and brings in a handful of boards and steals, which can give her some value as a cheaper option. She's currently averaging 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals across 24.4 minutes, so for the most part, temper expectations for her overall production.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell, at the All-Star break, is posting 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals across 24.4 minutes per game.

Mitchell has struggled mightily shooting the rock so far this season, shooting just 36.0 percent from the field and 22.6 percent from long range. While her 90.2 free-throw percentage suggests her mechanics are fine, Mitchell can't seem to find a rhythm in the flow of the game. Aside from points, Mitchell's biggest strength is probably her skill as a defender, averaging 1.9 steals per 40 minutes. That said, her overall production and subpar workload don't make her a desirable DFS option on most nights.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell accumulated 10 points (2-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-7 FT), eight rebounds and one assist across 24 minutes during Friday's 72-58 loss to the Mystics.

Mitchell isn't known for her work on the glass considering she averages just 2.7 rebounds per game, but snagged an impressive eight boards Friday. That said, other than her surprising effort on the boards, Mitchell had a typical game, finishing near her averages of 10.6 points, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals across 23.5 minutes per game.

June 20, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell accumulated a season-high 19 points (7-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT) to go along with five assists, four rebounds and two steals across 26 minutes during Sunday's 91-79 victory over the Sun.

Mitchell played a jam-packed 26 minutes Sunday, mustering a season-high 19 points while chipping in solid peripheral statistics across the board. Most DFS players likely gloss over Mitchell due to her 24.3 minute-per-game workload, but she's shown an ability to be a high-risk/high-reward option. While she often scores in double-digits, her inconsistent rebounding, passing and stealing are what throws a wrench into the equation. That said, if Mitchell fires on all cylinders, like she did Sunday, she can rack up a DFS score that rivals many top-tier options.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell tallied 14 points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-8 FT), three assists, two rebounds and one steal across 23 minutes during Thursday's 85-74 victory over the Dream.

Mitchell has produced well in her bench role for the Fever, averaging 11.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 steal across 24.2 minutes per contest. She makes for a nice salary-saving option in DFS due to the fact that, while she does come off the pine, her role is consistent and she's shown an ability to put up solid numbers.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell (hip) finished Saturday's 85-91 victory over the Wings with 14 points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-8 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two steals across 33 minutes.

Mitchell came into Saturday's game with a minor hip injury, but didn't appear to be slowed by an lingering discomfort and was able to hit double digits in the scoring column and pull down a season-high six rebounds. She actually drew the start in place of Shenise Johnson, who continues to be sidelined with a knee injury, which allowed Mitchell to have her biggest workload (33 minutes) of the 2017 campaign. Mitchell should see a slight decrease in playing time once Johnson is healthy and reclaims a starting role.

May 31, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell finished with seven points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt), one rebound, two steals and a turnover across 20 minutes during Tuesday's 62-89 loss to the Wings.

Mitchell drew into the starting lineup in place of the ailing Shenise Johnson (knee), but she didn't see the expected increase in playing time, as she logged just 20 minutes. Her seven-point showing was just just the second contest she scored single digits in this season, so it was a relatively disappointing showing as a whole. Johnson's injury is listed as just soreness and the Fever don't play again until Saturday, so it remains to be seen if Mitchell will be needed to fill in with the starting lineup again for that matchup.

May 30, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell produced a team-high 13 points (5-11 FG, 3-3 FT), to go along with four rebounds, one assist, three steals and four turnovers in Sunday's loss against the Storm.

Mitchell is proving to be a consistent offensive threat for the Fever, averaging 12.4 points across 22.4 minutes in her 2017 campaign. Despite coming off the bench, the guard out of South Carolina recorded a season-high during the first game of her 2017 season with 17 points. During her rookie career, Mitchell averaged just 8.6 points across 20.0 minutes, so she's displaying remarkable improvement on her offensive game thus far.

May 23, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell recorded 14 points (4-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT) across 23 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 81-79 victory over the Sun.

Despite coming off the bench, Mitchell has surprisingly been the Fever's top option offensively, currently leading the team with a scoring average of 14.0 points per game. She'll need to be more effective in the rebound and assist categories in order to keep her value up after not logging a single statistic other than points during Saturday's contest, but she could still be an intriguing option off the bench if her price remains relatively low in DFS contests.

May 18, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell continued her strong start to the season, posting 11 points (5-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, four assists, one steal and one turnover across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 62-85 loss to the Mercury.

Mitchell has now hit double-digit points off the bench in consecutive games to open the season, while logging 19 and 24 minutes, respectively. She appears to be locked into a sizable role with the second unit, which should give her some appeal as a mid-to-low tier option in DFS contests, especially if she can keep up the contributions in both the rebound and assist categories.

May 15, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell recorded 17 points (6-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound and one steal across 19 minutes during Sunday's 82-87 loss to the Storm.

Mitchell carried over a strong exhibition showing to the regular season, posting a bench-leading 17 points despite the loss Sunday. She appears to be locked into one of the top bench roles for the Fever, which should allow the second-year pro to hover around the 20.0 minutes per game mark she recorded as a rookie. While Mitchell shouldn't be relied upon for this big of an outburst regularly, she's still got potential as a scorer and will look to provide a boost offensively as a key member of the second unit.

May 9, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mitchell finished with 15 points (6-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three steals, two assists and one rebound across 25 minutes during Saturday's 80-75 loss to the Wings.

Mitchell, a 5-9 guard entering her second WNBA season, showed off her ability as a two-way player during Saturday's loss. She was drafted ninth overall by Indiana during last year's draft and went on to average 8.6 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists across 20.0 minutes per contest. While her 36.1 percent shooting from the field and 29.4 percent from beyond the arc leaves something to be desired, her 91.1 percent free-throw percentage indicates that she at least has good form on her shot.
