PITCHER
Jose Berrios, MIN at LAA ($42): Berrios scored between 25.6 and 44.5 fantasy points in his first three starts before faltering against the Astros his last time out, but he draws a favorable matchup Sunday. The Angels sport a .299 wOBA versus right-handed pitching, while Berrios has generated a 2.57 ERA while allowing a .125 batting average and .234 wOBA over 14 road innings this season.
Justin Verlander, DET vs. CWS ($41): Verlander faces a White Sox squad that's been much less potent against right-handed pitching, as evidenced by their .291 wOBA, 23.1 percent strikeout rate and majors-low 27.7 percent hard contact rate versus that handedness. He has also been outstanding at Comerica Park, posting a 1.61 ERA while allowing a .223 wOBA over four starts. Finally, Verlander scored a season-high 31.8 fantasy points against this same White Sox team back on April 4 on the strength of a season-best 10 strikeouts.
CATCHER
Brian McCann, HOU at TEX ($13): McCann and Rangers southpaw starter Martin Perez both have a reverse splits profile, with McCann sporting a .439 wOBA (including .578 on the road) against lefties and Perez surrendering a .385 wOBA and 35.1 percent line drive rate (including 42.1 percent at home) to lefty bats. Perez has also allowed a 30.5 percent line drive rate and 36.1 percent hard contact rate at Globe Life Park overall, and the Rangers' bullpen has given up a 5.74 ERA, 14 homers and a .349 wOBA to left-handed hitters as well.
FIRST BASE
Eric Thames, MIL vs. LAD ($19): Thames has blasted nine of his 14 homers this season against right-handed pitching, as he has a .420 wOBA, .303 ISO and 42.7 percent hard contact rate versus that handedness. Meanwhile, Dodgers starter Kenta Maeda has given up a .345 wOBA, including .480 on the road, to left-handed hitters, along with a 25.8 percent line drive rate and 31.3 percent hard contact rate to that handedness away from home.
SECOND BASE
Brian Dozier, MIN at LAA ($20): Angels starter Ricky Nolasco has allowed a .384 wOBA, 11 homers and 41.9 percent hard contact rate to right-handed hitters, and he had a 5.91 ERA while allowing nine homers and a .392 wOBA over his last six starts. That makes him a nice target for Dozier, who boasts a 33.1 percent hard contact rate and seven homers versus right-handed pitching, along with a 30.4 percent line drive rate against that handedness on the road.
THIRD BASE
Eduardo Nunez, SF at PHI ($16): Phillies starter Jeremy Hellickson has been blasted for a .404 wOBA while posting a 6.10 xFIP in his last six starts. Meanwhile, Nunez boasts a .344 wOBA against right-handed pitching on the road, and he sports a .378 wOBA over his last 42 plate appearances. The Phillies' bullpen has struggled against right-handed hitters as well, yielding 19 homers and a .331 wOBA.
SHORTSTOP
Corey Seager, LAD at MIL ($15): Brewers starter Zach Davies has allowed a .356 wOBA, including .373 at Miller Park, six homers and a 30.0 percent hard contact rate to left-handed hitters, while Seager has a .405 wOBA, 28.6 percent line drive rate and 42.9 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching on the road. The Brewers' bullpen could also be factor in Seager's favor, considering Milwaukee relievers have surrendered an NL-high .400 wOBA to lefty bats at home since May 1.
OUTFIELD
Michael Conforto, NYM vs. PIT ($22): Conforto has racked up a .435 wOBA, 44.8 percent hard contact rate and 181 wRC+ at Citi Field, and he has pounded righties for a .434 wOBA and .325 ISO there. Meanwhile, Pirates starter Trevor Williams has a 6.48 ERA while allowing a .368 wOBA and four homers over 16.2 road innings. Pittsburgh relievers have also been hit hard by lefty bats, surrendering a .344 wOBA and 34.5 percent hard contact rate to that handedness.
Jackie Bradley, BOS at BAL ($16): Orioles starter Chris Tillman has struggled through his first five starts, generating a 5.87 ERA while allowing a .381 wOBA. Additionally, he has given up a .431 wOBA while posting a 6.03 xFIP to left-handed hitters. Meanwhile, Bradley has four homers and a 35.1 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching. Some early struggles still have his numbers below the levels he established last season, but Bradley has racked up a .371 wOBA and 47.4 percent hard contact rate over 30 plate appearances against righties in the last 11 games.
Gerardo Parra, COL at SD ($13) Parra has posted a .365 wOBA, 32.1 percent line drive rate and 36.8 percent hard contact rate since May 2, including a .372 wOBA and 41.3 percent hard contact rate against righties during that span. That makes him an appealing player to target versus Padres starter Jarred Cosart, who's been touched up by lefty hitters for a .437 wOBA overall -- including .459 wOBA in a 21-batter sample at Petco Park – along with a mammoth 8.46 xFIP, 22.2 percent line drive rate and 33.3 percent hard contact rate. The Padres' bullpen has also been laying out the welcome mat all season to left-handed hitters, as evidenced by the .343 wOBA, 15 homers and 36.4 percent hard contact rate they've allowed to that handedness.
