STARTING PITCHER

J.A. Happ, NYY vs. KC ($9,200): The Yankees desperately needed to add another starting pitcher and while they didn't exactly acquire an elite arm in Happ, it was still an important move. Though his 4.18 ERA doesn't jump off the page, he's done a good job limiting baserunners with a 1.18 WHIP. He also has a 10.5 percent swinging-strike rate, which has resulted in a career-high 10.3 K/9. The Royals already had a bad lineup, but it got even worse after they traded Mike Moustakas to the Brewers on Saturday. The stars are aligning for Happ to succeed in his debut with the Yankees.

GPP Fade: Sean Newcomb, ATL vs. LAD ($7,500): Newcomb allowed one run across six innings during his last start against the Marlins, but he had allowed 13 runs over 12 innings in his previous three outings. He continues to have problems with walks, issuing 16 in his last 18 innings. With only 12 strikeouts over that same stretch, it's not hard to see why he's having so much trouble. The Dodgers are a much tougher opponent than the Marlins, so it might be best to avoid Newcomb until he shows signs of turning things around.

Cheap GPP Consideration: Joe Musgrove, PIT vs. NYM ($7,300): The move to the National League has benefited Musgrove. He enters this game with a 3.90 ERA and a 3.83 FIP, both of which would mark a career best. His 1.32 WHIP leaves something to be desired, but he's only allowed six home runs across 60 innings. His strikeout upside isn't great with a 7.8 K/9, but he's still a viable option at this cheap price in tournament play since the Mets entered Saturday with the fifth-fewest runs scored in baseball.

CATCHER

Austin Romine, NYY vs. KC ($3,500): The Yankees played a doubleheader Saturday with Romine sitting out the nightcap, so expect him behind the plate Sunday. He's taken over the everyday duties with Gary Sanchez (groin) on the disabled list and already has set career highs in home runs (six) and RBI (29) in only 149 plate appearances. At this price, he's someone to consider against Burch Smith and his 1.46 WHIP.

FIRST BASE

Jose Abreu, CWS vs. TOR ($4,200): Abreu is swinging a hot bat, entering Saturday 9-for-24 (.375) with three home runs during his six-game hitting streak. His .258 average overall is well below his career mark, but with his .364 wOBA against lefties, he has a favorable chance to produce again versus Ryan Borucki.

SECOND BASE

Neil Walker, NYY vs. KC ($3,900): With the Yankees missing some key bats, Walker is going to see plenty of playing time moving forward. After going 3-for-4 in the first game of their doubleheader, Walker is now 15-for-38 (.395) across his last 12 games. He's a better hitter from the left side of the plate, making him someone to consider at this cheap price.

THIRD BASE

Alex Bregman, HOU vs. TEX ($5,500): Bregman is enjoying a power breakout with a .529 slugging percentage entering Saturday. With 21 home runs and 33 doubles, his 68 RBI are only three away from tying his total from 2017. He has a 183 wRC+ against lefties, so look for him to give Mike Minor plenty of trouble.

SHORTSTOP

Lourdes Gurriel, TOR at CWS ($3,700): The Blue Jays are giving Gurriel the opportunity to play every day, and he certainly has not let them down. He's one of the hottest hitters in baseball, entering Saturday 20-for-40 with three homers over his last nine games. At this cheap price, it's hard to pass up on him Sunday.

OUTFIELD

Charlie Blackmon, COL vs. OAK ($5,600): Blackmon has a favorable draw against Frankie Montas, who has a 1.39 WHIP to go along with an underwhelming 5.6 K/9. Blackmon entered Saturday with a .378 wOBA against righties and is batting .332 overall at Coors Field, so don't hesitate to pay up for his services.

Avisail Garcia, CWS vs. TOR ($4,500): Injuries have limited Garcia to 173 plate appearances entering Saturday, but he's had an impact when on the field. He's not walking much, but his .536 slugging percentage is over 100 points higher than his career mark. He has a .379 wOBA against lefties, making him a great option against Borucki and his unimpressive 7.1 K/9.

Austin Meadows, PIT vs. NYM ($3,300): The Bucs placed Corey Dickerson (hamstring) on the DL on Saturday, resulting in Meadows being recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis. He performed well in his first stint with the Pirates this year, batting .298 with five home runs in 48 games. He didn't start Saturday, but expect him to be in the lineup against Zack Wheeler, whose wOBA against left-handed hitters is over 60 points higher than it is against righties.
