The first game of the series on Friday saw a matchup between the Lions' hot offense and Guardians ace Henry Sosa. Offense won the day on that occasion, as the Lions scored 10 runs off Sosa and 15 in total in a blowout victory. The struggling Guardians will turn to Chiang Kuo-Hao, a pitcher with a much lesser reputation, as they look to climb out of a slump which has seen them lose six of their last seven contests. The 22-year-old was knocked around in his two starts thus far this season, bringing his career ERA to 9.00 in 31 CPBL innings. Facing him on the hill for the Lions will be American knuckleballer Ryan Feierabend. The veteran lefty has appeared at the MLB level in parts of five seasons, including a very brief stint with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2019, but hasn't had much success, posting a career 7.34 ERA. He owns a strong 4.03 ERA in four seasons in the offense-friendly KBO in South Korea but has struggled in his first three starts in Taiwan, recording a 6.46 ERA and a 1.83 WHIP.

Ryan Feierabend, Lions: Both pitchers have struggled so far this season, which could in theory justify selecting Chiang Kuo-Hao and saving six credits. Feierabend has had more success in the recent past, however, and he's facing a Guardians lineup which has scored just 3.2 runs per game over its last six contests, compared to 11.5 runs per game over that same stretch for the Lions.
Lin An-Ko, Lions: Lin's 11.5-credit price is far too reasonable for the level of performance he's managed recently. Fantasy players should jump at the chance to roster a player who's homered in four straight games at such a bargain and should consider captaining him as well.
Chen Chieh-Hsien, Lions: The Lions' leadoff man has been a key part of his team's recent offensive explosion. He's gone 14-for-31 (good for a .452 batting average) with 13 runs scored over his last seven games.
Chiang Chih-Hsien, Guardians: For those looking to go against the grain and predict a win for the Guardians, Chiang could be a viable captain pick. He's hitting .370 with three homers in 13 games this season.
