Seattle turns to Bryce Miller, who enters Wednesday 4-8 with a 4.12 ERA and 1.09 WHIP over 94 innings. Miller has allowed 17 home runs, and his recent performance is more concerning than his season ERA suggests. Opposing hitters have generated a .939 OPS against him over his last 28 days, providing another encouraging signal for Boston's lineup.
The matchup becomes even more appealing when examining Boston's recent production against right-handed pitching. Over the last 30 days, the Red Sox have generated a 127 wRC+ with a .360 OBP, .463 slugging percentage and .823 OPS against righties. Boston has also struck out just 17.5 percent of the time in that split, creating plenty of opportunities to put pressure on Miller.
Seattle's bullpen provides another reason to target the Red Sox team total. The Mariners' relievers have struggled badly in our recent dataset, posting an 8.05 ERA, 5.60 FIP, 1.77 WHIP and 2.04 HR/9. Even if Miller keeps Boston relatively quiet early, there should be scoring opportunities once Seattle turns the game over to its relief corps.
The Mariners vs. Red Sox odds have Boston installed as roughly a -130 to -140 favorite with a game total of 8.5. Rather than paying the moneyline price, we're targeting Boston's greatest matchup advantage.
The Red Sox don't need an offensive explosion to cash. Five runs get us there, and Boston has already reached at least six runs in both games of this series.

Yankees vs. Angels Prediction: Starting Pitching Supports Under 7
The Yankees and Angels finish their three-game series Wednesday night at Angel Stadium, and two quality starting pitchers create an appealing opportunity in the total market. Cam Schlittler faces Reid Detmers in a matchup carrying one of Wednesday's lowest totals, making Yankees-Angels under 7 runs at -119 on DraftKings the preferred betting angle.
Schlittler has been outstanding, entering Wednesday 12-6 with a 2.09 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 201 strikeouts across 163.2 innings. The right-hander also draws an excellent matchup against an Angels offense that has produced just a 79 wRC+ against right-handed pitching over the last 30 days. Our projection model has Schlittler working 5.8 innings while allowing only 1.6 runs and 3.8 hits, with 8.8 strikeouts.
Detmers gives Los Angeles a legitimate chance to keep the other side of the scoreboard quiet. The left-hander owns a 3.54 ERA and 1.07 WHIP with 174 strikeouts over 155 innings, while our model projects 5.8 innings and just 1.9 runs allowed. His strikeout ability is another plus, with one projection system rating Detmers in the 93rd percentile among starting pitchers in strikeout talent.
New York has actually been solid against left-handed pitching recently, producing a 109 wRC+, .325 wOBA and .742 OPS over the last 30 days. That prevents this from being a one-sided handicap, but Detmers' ability to miss bats and limit baserunners provides a reasonable counter to the Yankees' platoon advantage.
The market agrees this should be a low-scoring game. The total remains seven at multiple sportsbooks Wednesday morning, with the under priced around -115 to -119.
That number is important. At Under 7, a 4-3 or 5-2 final results in a push rather than a loss, providing valuable protection compared with betting Under 6.5.
With two strong starters and an Angels offense struggling badly against righties, seven provides enough cushion to back the pitching.

The Marlins and Royals continue their series at Kauffman Stadium, with Eury Perez facing Noah Cameron in an intriguing pitching matchup. Despite Perez carrying the better season ERA, Cameron's recent dominance and favorable offensive splits make Royals moneyline the preferred betting angle.
Perez enters Wednesday 7-10 with a 3.44 ERA and 142 strikeouts across 130.2 innings. Those numbers deserve respect, but Kansas City has been particularly effective against right-handed pitching recently. The Royals have produced a 115 wRC+ against righties over the last 30 days, giving their lineup an encouraging matchup despite Perez's ability to miss bats.
Cameron's recent performance provides the strongest argument for Kansas City. The left-hander has lowered his ERA from 5.27 to 3.98 after allowing only seven earned runs across his last seven starts and 48.2 innings. That's a 1.29 ERA over that stretch, while Cameron has also gone 4-1 with a 1.87 ERA over his last five starts.
The matchup with Miami makes that run even more compelling. The Marlins have generated just an 80 wRC+ against left-handed pitching over the last 30 days, placing them among MLB's weakest offenses in that split. The season-long results support the recent numbers, as Miami is only 15-22 against left-handed starting pitchers this year.
Kansas City also owns the situational advantage. The Royals are 36-31 at Kauffman Stadium and have won eight of their last 10 games, while Miami is just 28-42 on the road.
Perez's presence keeps this from being an overwhelming pitching advantage, but Kansas City's production against right-handers combined with Cameron's dominant recent form gives the home team multiple paths to win.
At close to an even-money price, those matchup advantages are enough to side with Kansas City.
