Crow-Armstrong is going through an epic power display. He went 2 for 5 with two solo home runs in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Cincinnati Reds, and he had launched three homers in Saturday's win as well. With 38 homers and 32 stolen bases this season, Crow-Armstrong is on the verge of the first 40-40 season of his career, and those impressive stats have him arguably at the top of the NL MVP race ahead of Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Crow-Armstrong has been particularly dynamic in August with 14 home runs and a 1.098 OPS in 27 games. While launching homers in three straight games is extremely odd, if anyone can do it right now, that's PCA.

San Diego Padres 
vs. Cincinnati Reds 
- Michael King Over 5.5 strikeouts (-135 BetMGM)
King will have a favorable matchup on tap Monday against the Reds, as Cincinnati ranks second in the majors in total strikeouts with 1,304, and no team has struck out more at home so far in 2026 (664). As if the matchup wasn't attractive enough, King is coming off a strong showing against another NL Central team in his last start -- he allowed five hits, issued two walks and hit a batter while striking out seven over seven scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday.
King has 135 strikeouts across 156 innings over 27 starts in 2026, but he's cleared this line in four of his last seven starts. With an 8.1 K/9 since the All-Star break, this line could be within reach for King if he pitches six or seven innings.

Baltimore Orioles 
vs. Colorado Rockies 
- Pete Alonso Over 1.5 total bases, -155 @ DraftKings
Few hitters in the majors have been as hot as Alonso of late. Even though the star slugger exited Sunday's win over the Athletics following a hit by pitch, he's expected to be fine for Monday's series opener in Colorado, and a trip to Coors Field boosts his chances of making an impact offensively. Alonso has hit safely in 17 of his 21 last games, slashing .395/.467/.765 with an impressive 1.233 OPS and 9:19 BB:K over that stretch, so he should benefit from facing one of the weakest pitching staffs in the majors.
Even though Alonso has been unable to clear this line of over 1.5 total bases in his last four contests, he's likely to end that drought here. The matchup and ballpark factors are just too good to ignore.
