Top DFS Pitching and Team Stacking Strategies for DraftKings

In this article, I'm going to take a deeper dive into pitching and team stacking options. Let's take a look at our optimizer's rankings of the pitchers for the DraftKings eight-game main slate, sorted by projected fantasy points.

*Potential rain delay in Blue Jays at Rays game.

We have five pitchers tonight priced $9k or higher, with the expected chalkiest option on the slate being Jacob deGrom. He doesn't have the easiest matchup, however, so my preference is to spend up on Brandon Woodruff. He's gone for at least 25 DK points in 6-of-11 starts this year and the Angels have the lowest implied run total.

We've also highlighted Kevin Gausman, Jesus Luzardo and Cristian Javier in our lineup. Javier is our top point-per-dollar starter and can be considered as a GPP value option only. Meanwhile, Gausman draws the strikeout heavy Rays, who have averaged a modest 3.4 runs over the last week. He's also gone for 27+ DK points in three consecutive games. Note that Cole Ragans makes his return from the 60-day IL and will likely be on a limited pitch count.

Here's how each pitcher ranks in key categories (stats are from 2025 season only):
