B.A. Vollmuth

Vollmuth was a third-round pick of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Southern Mississippi and has steadily advanced through the system but continues to struggle with his plate discipline. He split his time between Low-A Burlington and High-A Stockton and tallied 144 strikeouts over 529 at-bats and is already up to 84 this season in just 253 at-bats. His walk rate remains consistent and he's showing a bit more power, but until he reins in those strikeouts, he's not likely to advance much further.
