Ozuna batted .260/.290/.344 in 96 at-bats combined with the Dodgers and White Sox, though his average was just .219 as a Dodger in 32 at-bats. He is a career .282 hitter with the ability to play multiple positions, so he'll probably garner another bench job in 2009, but that's about it.
Ozuna had his season end with a fractured fibula in early June but worked his way back to consider a late-season comeback, so he should be back to full health this season. He can handle the left side of the infield as well as left field in a pinch but offers very little in the fantasy department. He'll be back in a utility role again but shouldn't be anywhere near your roster.
When your super-sub finishes the season with an .800 OPS in 189 at-bats, you're elated. The White Sox re-signed him to do the same in 2007. He's not in line for extended action, however, even if injuries deplete the White Sox starters.
Ozuna got his first extended crack at the majors in 2005 and proved to be a useful super-sub, playing every position outside of the battery except center field, hitting for a decent average and stealing some bases at an adequate rate. Ozzie Guillen probably relives his glory days vicariously through Ozuna, so expect his at bats (and SB-based fantasy value) to be fairly secure.
This utilityman had a good season at Triple-A Scranton in the Phillies' organization, hitting .307 with 31 steals. At 30, Ozuna's chance of a major league career has probably come and gone, but he could get called up for a cup of coffee.
Ozuna came over in trade prior to the 2003 season with the hopes that he could either win the second base job outright, or push Brent Butler into production to do the same. Neither happened, but Ozuna still has a chance to be a good one at the major league level. His greatest asset is his speed, and his glovework isn't bad either.
Brent Butler is no guarantee at second, nor is Juan Uribe at shortstop, and Ozuna's speed and defense could allow him to compete for the starting spot.
