Robertson signed a minor league deal with the Marlins on Friday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
ANALYSIS
Robertson appeared in only 12 Triple-A games last season as a member of the Nationals organization. He has some experience at the major league level - he made 40 appearances for the Twins in 2012 - but he'll primarily provide organizational depth for the Marlins and is not likely to make an impact in the majors in 2015.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

Robertson was promoted to the Twins in July last season after an impressive strikeout rate (10.5 K/9) at Triple-A. His results were not great in the majors with a 5.40 ERA and too many walks, but he was much more effective against lefties. He allowed just a .585 OPS to left-handed batters with a 22:6 K:BB. He could win a job as a lefty specialist in the Minnesota bullpen as a result and his high strikeout rates and groundball rates suggest he could be an impact reliever, although that role may not translate into much fantasy value.
Robertson, a third-round pick in 2006, was having a strong season a High-A Fort Myers before shut down with a shoulder injury in July. He's shown strong strikeout rates with good control aided by a deceptive delivery. He's also allowed just eight home runs in 44 career outings. He'll need to prove he's healthy this spring, but a strong season could put him in the mix for a spot in the big leagues in 2010 as one of Minnesota's top pitching prospects.
Robertson, a third round pick in 2006, may be Minnesota's top pitching prospect after posting a 2.29 ERA with a 123:33 K:BB ratio in 102.1 innings as a 19-year old for Low-A Beloit. He has an odd delivery that adds deception. A strong year in High-A could put him on the fast track to the majors.
