Joe Dunigan

Dungian has intriguing tools as a power hitter (62 XBH in 118 games) who stole 20 bases last season at High-A, but he needs to prove he's more than a product of hitter-friendly High Desert after posting a 1.067/.761 home/road OPS split in 2009. His plate discipline also hasn't developed to the point to guarantee himself progress through the system. A promotion to Double-A seems likely this season, but a 43/129 BB/K mark should serve as a reminder to wait until he produces at a higher level -- despite the 30 home runs, third in the California League -- before making him a pickup in keeper leagues.
