Leo Rivas News: Taking seat Wednesday

Rivas is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

The switch-hitting Rivas will take a seat for the fourth time in five games, with three of those absences coming against left-handed pitchers. The Mariners seem to be prioritizing Rivas ahead of Cole Young at second base of late, but Jorge Polanco will remain a factor at the position on days in which he's not serving as a designated hitter.
