Daniel Slania

Slania spent most of 2016 in Double-A Richmond before making a brief stint in Triple-A at the end of the season, faring well in both stops. With the Giants Double-A affiliate, the 24-year old posted a 2.50 ERA in 82.2 innings of work while also generating a solid 9.7 K/9. Slania continued to pitch effectively after getting promoted to Triple-A Sacramento, albeit in a small size. In his 13 innings of work in Triple-A, the 24-year-old right-hander was impressive, posting a 1.38 ERA and 2.49 FIP. Slania's strong showing in 2016 earned him a spot on the Giants 40-man roster, which protects him from the Rule 5 draft. Slania will likely need to get a full season in Triple-A under his belt before making his way to the majors, but he will be well on his way to earning an eventual spot in the Giants bullpen if he can replicate the success he had this past season.
