Tyler Moore
31-Year-Old First Baseman1B
Miami Marlins
2018 Fantasy Outlook
Moore made it back to the majors in 2017 after an injury limited him to just 29 minor-league games in 2016. He latched on with the Marlins prior to the season, and a hamstring injury to Martin Prado helped him break camp with the team as a reserve infielder. Moore was ultimately designated for assignment when Prado returned in mid-April, but further injuries saw him rejoin the big club in May and briefly step into a starting role in June and July. The 30-year-old held his own during Justin Bour's first DL stint, hitting .341/.378/.805 with five homers in 12 games (11 starts), but then struggled when Bour returned to the DL in July, hitting just .196/.245/.268 with in 51 games (20 starts) down the stretch while losing out on starts to Tomas Telis. He was removed from the 40-man roster this offseason and should serve as organizational depth going forward. Read Past Outlooks
