ANALYSIS
The lanky right-hander will start for Low-A West Virginia, something he did in just three of his 21 appearances with the Yankees' organization. Pirates GM Neal Huntington said he was impressed with Erickson's makeup. "He has a good body, plus sink on his fastball, and a high ground ball rate," the Pirates GM said. Erickson holds a 3.23 GO/AO rate to go along with a 3-3 mark, 2.25 ERA and 37:13 K:BB ratio thus far in 2009.
