The Twins had success with independent-ball signings Chris Colabello, Andrew Albers and Caleb Thielbar last season, so Ziegler is worth monitoring. Ziegler was a 16th-round draft pick of the Giants in 2008 and advanced to High-A in 2009 before he was released and bounced around the independent leagues.
