Mike Strong

The Brewers protected Strong from the Rule 5 draft in the offseason after he showed promise at High-A Brevard County in 2014. Strong turned in another fine performance in 2015 with Double-A Biloxi, striking out a batter per inning to go with a 2.54 ERA in 49.2 innings. This performance warranted a promotion to Triple-A Colorado Springs, although he struggled mightily. In 16.1 innings, his K/9 went down to 6.7, and his ERA and BB/9 ballooned to 7.16 and 6.1 respectively. The 26-year-old still needs to develop a bit, so he'll probably start 2015 in the minor leagues. However, if Strong can improve his numbers in the upper levels minor leagues, he could push for a bullpen spot with the Brewers at some point later in 2016.
