The Rangers will have Sadzeck work as a reliever for Double-A Frisco, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports. "Obviously, he has a great arm," Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said of the right-hander. "Sometimes that plays up in a bullpen role. We still feel he has the ability to start long term. Where we are in the calendar, it makes sense to see what our internal options are."

RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Connor Sadzeck.
Sadzeck has been developed as a starting pitcher, a role in which he can consistently touch the upper-90s, but he routinely hit triple digits when he appeared as a reliever during the Arizona Fall League a couple years back. Still, the 24-year-old is not without his flaws, as he historically has shown command issues (career 4.18 BB/9) due to an inconsistent delivery to the plate. He has also given up too many runs, as he held a 4.16 ERA by the season's conclusion thanks to giving up 1.15 home runs per nine innings. Between his blazing fastball and upper-80s slider with bite, there's no denying Sadzeck is interesting as a future high-leverage reliever. He must shore up his control if he wants to succeed as a starter in the upper levels of the minors, but he could be a quick mover in the Rangers organization, especially if he converts to being a reliever.
