Past Fantasy Outlooks
2004
2003
Bergeron put up decent numbers in Triple-A, hitting .302 with a .360 OBP, but he stole only 12 bases and seems to have burned all his bridges with the Expos organization. He could get another look this spring, but more likely will have to go the Scott Podsednik route if he wants another chance at a major league job.
Started well as the Expos leadoff hitter -- drawing walks, stealing bases and scoring runs -- but the wheels quickly came off, and by year’s end he was so lost he didn't even get a September call-up from Triple-A. Too talented to cut loose, but too inconsistent to play -- the eternal dilemma of the rebuilding club.
