Phil Seibel

Seibel, who missed all of 2005 after Tommy John surgery, pitched at three stops in the Red Sox organization last year but never made it to Boston. As is the case with a lot of pitchers who went through the procedure, Seibel came back stronger and elevated his strikeout rate with better command (83:15 K:BB in 80 IP). He was used as both a starter and a reliever, which will come in handy for a potential promotion to Boston. It looks like he'll be part of the starting rotation at Triple-A Pawtucket.
