2006 Fantasy Outlook
After begging to get out of the San Diego system (and earning it with a 6.28 ERA for the Padres in 2004), Watkins finally got his break when the Indians signed him and put him at Triple-A Buffalo for the 2005 season. The big guy responded with a 9-2 record and a nice 86/34 K/BB ratio. He signed a minor league contract with Washington this winter and could get a look if the team needs to dig deep into their system for a starter.
