ANALYSIS
Nunez was a notable international signee out of the Dominican Republic in 2014 and had a great year (141 wRC+) as a 20-year-old in the Pioneer League in 2018, but for the most part he has struggled to produce as a pro.

2017 Fantasy Outlook
Nunez, a Dominican-born player who signed with the White Sox back in 2014 at just 16 years old, has spent his first two professional seasons playing rookie ball in the Arizona League. His first season with the AZL White Sox in 2015 was a very forgettable campaign for the young infielder. In a small sample size of 82 plate appearances, Nunez struggled to get on base (.207 OBP) and hit for little-to-no power (.013 ISO). Though his numbers were fairly pedestrian in 2016, his second year of rookie ball did display a marked improvement from his disastrous debut season. In 232 plate appearances, Nunez batted .287/.320/.370, increased his ISO to .083, posted a 4.3 percent walk rate, 22.4 strikeout rate and stole nine bases in 11 attempts. His contact skills appear to be his strong suit, but he's got a ways to go in the strength department before he becomes a more consistent threat at the plate. At just 19 years old, he has time to develop his skills in the lower minor leagues.
