The White Sox picked up De Los Santos from the Rays in a late-season trade after he posted a mediocre 5.9 K/9 in 32 innings for Triple-A Durham. He has a plus fastball and slider, but he had yet to make much of those pitches through seven seasons in the Rays' organization. The White Sox have had a knack recently for turning left-handed nothings into usable MLB relievers, so De Los Santos could be in the bullpen at some point in 2014 if pitching coach Don Cooper can work his magic.
