ANALYSIS
After undergoing two Tommy John surgeries, Stark hadn't pitched in the big leagues since 2004 prior to this season. He was predictably ineffective, recording a 6.55 ERA in nine games.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2004
2003
Stark had a fine season in 2002, winning 11 games and posting a 4.00 ERA, but that was two years ago. '03 was marred loss of command and confidence, injury and some pretty ugly stats. Stark turns 30 this season, so the Rockies' patience is wearing a little thin. He came over from Seattle in the trade for Jeff Cirillo, so they won't be out anything in the event that their patience wears completely out and Stark gets shipped elsewhere. Incidentally, this is the best thing that could happen to Stark at this point.
