Greg Jones

Jones appears to be fully recovered from his 2004 rotator cuff surgery, but is still far from being in a position to make a significant contribution at the major league level in 2006. He did post solid numbers in the minors in 2005, but was hit hard in limited duty with the Angels in August and September. Look for Jones to return to Triple-A to develop consistency in this delivery. He'll be ready to eat up innings when the call does come, but don't look for anything special.

Jones spent most of 2003 at Triple-A Salt Lake where he pitched very well - his 56:9 K:BB ratio in particular stood out. He got called up to the Angels in late July, and despite posting a solid K:BB ratio, Jones' 29 hits and three home runs allowed resulted in a 4.88 ERA.
