ANALYSIS
Adcock, who signed a minor league contract with the Orioles last season, has not pitched since undergoing Tommy John surgery in August of 2015. This is more discouraging news regarding the right-hander, who owns a 4.17 career ERA in four major league seasons.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2013
2012
The 24-year-old right-hander spent the majority of last season pitching for Triple-A Omaha, but was routinely shuttled to Kansas City when the big club's pitching staff was left shorthanded due to injury. He appeared in 12 games, making two starts, and finished the season 0-3 with a 2.34 ERA over 34.2 innings. However, Adcock's poor 1.7 K/BB and 4.54 FIP offer a more realistic look at his overall performance last season and what you can probably expect from him in 2013. Unless he has a strong spring, he will likely begin the season in Omaha once again with an open-ended ticket for a part-time return.
After spending time in the Mariners and Pirates farm systems, Adcock finally made his major league debut with the Royals in 2011, after they selected him in the Rule 5 draft. Used as a reliever, he had 29 strikeouts and 24 walks with a 4.18 ERA over 47.1 innings. Having never spent time in Double or Triple-A, Adcock's performance wasn't all that disappointing. Moving forward, he'll need to curb his appetite for walks, if he's going to be successful, while the Royals now have the option of sending him down to the minors for additional seasoning if they prefer to continue his development that way.
