PITCHER
Kenta Maeda, LAD vs. SF ($8,600): Maeda has been strong over his first two starts, pitching 12 shutout innings and scoring 22.5 and 17.3 fantasy points, respectively, and he could be in line for more of the same in a home start against a tough Giants lineup. Maeda proved highly proficient at keeping the ball in the park and on the ground over his stellar Japanese career, and that trend has followed him stateside over his first two starts. There's also certainly something to be said for a lineup facing a talented pitcher for the first time, and Maeda presents excellent tournament upside, particularly on such an extensive slate.
Jhoulys Chacin, ATL at MIA ($6,600): Chacin makes for another likely under-owned option on the 15-game Sunday slate, and one that will be toiling away in a pitcher's park and against a team he's enjoyed success against in the past. The 28-year-old posted a solid 2.57 ERA over 14 innings against the Marlins over the prior three seasons, and also looked strong in his first start of the season against the Nationals on Apr. 12. Chacin managed eight strikeouts over six frames, and showed excellent control in throwing 52 of 69 pitches for strikes. Run support is always a concern with the Braves, but their bats seemed to have woken up over the first two games of the series with the Marlins. Due to strikeout potential and the pitcher-friendly environment, Chacin could certainly return considerable value at a bargain price.
CATCHER
Matt Wieters, BAL at TEX ($3,200): Derek Holland struggled mightily against righties last year, surrendering a .360 wOBA, 10 homers and a 37.9 percent hard contact rate. Those figures certainly weren't outliers, as the veteran has yielded a .336 wOBA and 107 homers over the course of his career to hitters of that handedness. He also surrendered a .359 wOBA in hitter-friendly Globe Life Park last season. Meanwhile, Wieters tallied a .314 wOBA in 2015 against righties, and an excellent .355 figure over the course of his career. For what it's worth, he's also hit two homers over 18 career at-bats against Holland.
FIRST BASE
Mike Napoli, CLE vs. NYM ($3,800): Napoli crushed left-handed pitching again last season, amassing a .403 wOBA, .285 ISO and 12 homers against southpaws. That generally follows his career path, as he has a .394 wOBA and 69 homers off lefties over 10 seasons. He is already at it again this year, posting a .456 wOBA against lefties in the early going. Meanwhile, Steven Matz gave up a .314 wOBA to right-handed hitters over a 40-batter sample size in his rookie season last year, and he was lit up by seemingly everyone on the Marlins in his only previous outing this season.
SECOND BASE
Jean Segura, ARI at SD ($3,600): The multi-talented Segura remains reasonably priced at a position that can sometimes be tricky to roster. Robbie Erlin has surrendered a .340 wOBA to left-handed batters over a 168-batter sample in his career, and he yielded an even more bloated .419 figure in that category in 2015. Segura can produce fantasy points in a multitude of ways, and he already has three games of over 20 fantasy points.
THIRD BASE
Travis Shaw, BOS vs. TOR ($3,600): Shaw is due to break out of his current long-ball drought any day now, after blasting 13 homers in 248 plate appearances as a rookie last year. He'll draw a pitcher who could well facilitate that breakthrough in Aaron Sanchez, who left-handed hitters had a .380 wOBA and nine homers against last season. Shaw is already boasting a .427 wOBA against righties this season over 34 plate appearances, and he sports a nearly identical .428 mark at Fenway Park.
SHORTSTOP
Aledmys Diaz, STL vs. CIN ($3,100): With several rookies making waves early in the season, Diaz's exploits seemed to have largely gone unnoticed. All he's done is rack up a .406/.424/.813 slash line over his first 32 at-bats, and he's absolutely crushed right-handed pitching. Diaz has tallied an absurd .511 wOBA and .435 ISO versus righties, numbers that naturally aren't sustainable but are nevertheless noteworthy, particularly at Diaz's price. While opposing pitcher Jon Moscot hasn't necessarily been poor against right-handed hitters in his brief career, Diaz's torrid start puts him squarely in consideration.
OUTFIELD
Dexter Fowler, CHC vs. COL ($4,000): Fowler has been outstanding so far this year, and he has helped carry the Cubs' offense while stalwarts Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant have mostly been mired in early-season slumps. He continued his torrid start Saturday, blasting a three-run homer that helped bring his batting average up to .417. He's already managed double-digit fantasy points in seven games, and posted a .320 wOBA and 13 of his 17 homers in 2015 versus right-handed pitching. Naturally, he's also a threat to steal any time he gets on base, which he's done to the tune of a .553 OBP in 2016.
Colby Rasmus, DET at HOU ($3,600): Rasmus can slug one out of the park any time he's in the batter's box, and opposing pitcher Anibal Sanchez is usually more than happy to oblige. The veteran right-hander gave up a whopping 29 homers in 2015, while Rasmus hit 18 of his 25 homers last season against right-handed pitching. The two meet in hitter-friendly Minute Maid Park, and Rasmus has already launched three homers against righties this season. He's tallied a whopping .431 wOBA and .297 ISO over 47 plate appearances against right-handers in 2016, and the conditions could be primed for continued success Sunday.
Carlos Beltran, NYY vs. SEA ($3,500): The veteran outfielder has come out of the gate hot this season and is smoking right-handed pitching to the tune of .406 wOBA and .286 ISO over 29 plate appearances. He's also carrying a .381 batting average at Yankee Stadium with two homers this year. He mirrored the same success in 2015, when he managed 14 homers, a .358 wOBA and .196 ISO against righties. Beltran is coming off a stellar 4-for-5 performance Saturday that included a pair of doubles and a homer, and which raised his batting average to .351. He's also handled opposing pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma quite well over a small sample size, tallying three hits (including two doubles) in five at-bats, along with an RBI and a walk.
