Pitcher
Daniel Mengden, OAK vs. PIT ($7,400): Mengden has gone into the sixth inning in each of his first four starts, striking out at least five in every outing. It's led to an impressive 26:9 K:BB over 26.2 innings. He'll be opposed by Francisco Liriano, who has not won a game in 40 days, giving Mengden a shot to pick up a W against a Pirates team that only boasts two regulars with wOBPs above .350 against right handed pitching.
Catcher
Jett Bandy, LAA at BOS ($2,000): I'm all for punting the catcher position, and paying attention to Sunday's lineup can net you a starting option at the lowest possible price. For now, I'm guessing Bandy gets the nod over Carlos Perez, who started the last two games. The Angels also face righty Sean O'Sullivan, who has been lit up regularly but in particular by right-handed hitters to the tune of a .431 wOBP and 1006 OPS.
First Base
C.J. Cron, LAA at BOS ($2,700): We've only scratched the surface on O'Sullivan's struggles, as he allowed 10 runs over 11.1 innings in three May appearances before being demoted. Cron will do his best to welcome O'Sullivan back to the bigs Sunday, as he has a respectable .338 wOBP against righties and has thoroughly enjoyed his current trip to Fenway, having homered and driven in four Friday before going 6-for-6 with five RBI on Saturday.
Second Base
Matt Carpenter, STL vs. MIL ($4,000): It's a steep price to pay for a second baseman, but Carpenter has been worth whatever his salary has been this season. The lefty has seven games with at least nine fantasy points in his last 10 appearances, three times topping 20 points. He owns a .437 wOBP and 1056 OPS against right-handed pitching, while Sunday's starter Chase Anderson has allowed 16 runs over his last 11.1 innings spanning three starts.
Third Base
Anthony Rendon, WAS vs CIN ($2,800): Rendon will trot out a .372 wOBP against lefties, making him an ideal option against Reds starter John Lamb.
Shortstop
Xander Bogaerts, BOS vs. LAA ($3,100): Bogaerts only has one double-digit fantasy point outing in his last 10 games, which makes his free-falling price tag the ideal bargain play. He's logged a safe six fantasy points or better in seven of those 10 contests, and the Red Sox will need to swing with full force to support suspect starter O'Sullivan.
Outfield
Jayson Werth, WAS vs. CIN ($3,400): Werth simply kills left-handed pitching, to the tune of a 1170 OPS, .297 ISO and .494 wOBP. That's good because he'll face lefty Lamb, who's settled in nicely over his last four starts but still has allowed eight long balls over 45.1 innings against righties along with a .354 wOBP.
Gregory Polanco, PIT at. OAK($2,900): Polanco is flirting with an MVP season, but has seen his price skyrocket despite missing some recent action. Eight home runs have led to a 924 OPS against right-handers though, and he'll be facing A's rookie righty Mengden.
Oswaldo Arcia, TAM vs. DET ($2,500): Arcia has enjoyed his change of scenery after being designated for assignment by the Twins, hitting .409 with a home run and four RBI in nine games since joining the Rays. He'll have ample opportunity to continue his streak against Tigers starter Mike Pelfrey, who has allowed 12 hits in two of this last three games and has been pummeled by lefties for a .392 wOBP over 45.1 innings.
