PITCHER
Jon Gray, COL at PHI ($8,900): Some may be hesitant to go back to Gray after he struggled at home against the Marlins last time out, but his success away from Coors Field suggests a bounce-back effort is in the cards. His 3.71 road ERA is more than a full run lower than at home, and the young righty will be facing a Phillies team that he limited to two runs on five baserunners with eight strikeouts in Colorado back in July. Strikeouts are rarely lacking for Gray (9.35 K/9), while the 28th-ranked Philadelphia offense doesn't pose much of a threat from a run-scoring perspective. Plus, a win is very likely with opposing starter Jake Thompson making just his second major league start after being shelled by the Padres in an unimpressive debut.
Dylan Bundy, BAL at SF ($7,400): Bundy is incredibly affordable given his recent success. The 23-year-old has displayed the electric stuff that made him the fourth overall pick in 2011 over his last four outings, limiting the opposition to just 15 baserunners and five earned runs while striking out 29 in 23.2 innings. Bundy's also being allowed to pitch deeper and deeper into games as he adjusts to a starting role, with his previous outing marking the first time in six starts that he crossed the 90-pitch threshold. It's tough to find a higher-upside pitcher in this slate at all, much less at just $7,400 against a sputtering San Francisco offense that has scored one or fewer runs in four of its last six games.
CATCHER
Matt Wieters, BAL at SF ($3,400): Wieters greatly prefers to face right-handers, as his wOBA batting left-handed is .057 higher than from the right side. Giants starter Matt Cain also makes for a favorable matchup as far as right-handers go, having walked 14 batters and served up five homers in just 21.1 innings over his last five starts. The affordable catcher has been held back by an unlucky .258 BABIP, but this is a golden opportunity to create his own luck against an opponent that has given up a .386 wOBA to left-handed hitters.
FIRST BASE
Hanley Ramirez, BOS vs. ARI ($4,200): With a .421 wOBA against lefties this season, Ramirez has consistently found success against tougher competition than Patrick Corbin, who is giving up a .363 wOBA to right-handed bats and has seen his ERA balloon all the way to 5.37 thanks to a disastrous eight-start stretch in which he has failed to reach the six-inning mark. The subpar southpaw is unlikely to get off the schneid against baseball's most dangerous offense, while Ramirez is the Red Sox's hitter best positioned to make him pay for his mistakes.
SECOND BASE
Logan Forsythe, TB at NYY ($5,300): Forsythe has two homers and four doubles as part of an 8-for-18 career mark against Yankees left-hander CC Sabathia, and the recent trends in their play suggest there'll be more where that came from. While the veteran southpaw has allowed a whopping 39 earned runs in just 53 innings over his last nine starts, Tampa Bay's second baseman has been hitting the cover off the ball with three homers among his nine hits in the last five games. Expect Forsythe's proficient .379 wOBA against left-handers to grow even higher after this one.
THIRD BASE
Evan Longoria, TB at NYY ($4,500): Just like Forsythe, Longoria has some favorable history against CC Sabathia. With 26 hits in 67 at-bats plus 13 walks, the third baseman has an incredible .388/.494/.791 line in a large sample size against the former ace. Considering much of that production came back when Sabathia wasn't considered a cupcake matchup, it would be very surprising if the Rays' three-hole hitter failed to deliver against this old and struggling version.
SHORTSTOP
Xander Bogaerts, BOS vs. ARI ($4,900): He's not quite at Hanley Ramirez's level, but Bogaerts is no slouch with a .370 wOBA in his preferred split. There's easily room for multiple Boston bats to have big games against reeling southpaw Patrick Corbin, and the shortstop is well positioned to do so with a prominent spot in the top third of the order. Look for Bogaerts to do plenty of damage both by scoring and driving in runs to add to the 7.09 ERA that Corbin has posted over his last eight starts.
OUTFIELD
Charlie Blackmon, COL at PHI ($5,200): He won't be playing at Coors Field, but every other factor is working in Blackmon's favor Friday. Colorado should put up no shortage of runs against Jake Thompson based on his poor debut against a much less dangerous Padres team, with their left-handed leadoff man likely to be especially dangerous after San Diego lefties reached base in 6-of-11 at-bats against the righty. Add in that Blackmon is scorching hot with 16 hits, three homers, nine runs and nine RBI in his last six games, and he's as good a building block as any to mold your lineup around.
Aaron Altherr, PHI vs. COL ($2,700): Altherr continues to be criminally underpriced based on his production since making his season debut on Jul. 28. His three homers, three steals, nine runs and 12 RBI in 13 games translate to a 35-homer, 35-steal, 104-run, 139-RBI campaign over a full 162 games. Even against a tough pitcher in Colorado's Jon Gray, it's tough to leave a bargain of this magnitude out of your lineup.
Michael Conforto, NYM vs. SD ($3,500): Conforto is nearly useless against lefties, but he still has a solid .342 wOBA against right-handers. That mark should rise even further against San Diego's Paul Clemens, who has allowed 14 runs in 23.2 innings as a starter. Clemens' 5.32 ERA as a starter is actually lucky compared to his 7.62 FIP, and New York's 2014 first-rounder should be able to push those subpar numbers even higher. The reeling Mets are tough to trust right now, but Conforto offers the best bang for the buck against a vulnerable opponent.
