Pitcher
Tyler Anderson, COL vs. SF ($6,500): Anderson is the rare pitcher that actually appears perfectly comfortable pitching in the confines of Coors Field, having generated a solid 3.11 ERA over 63.2 home innings – that's over a full run less than his road figure of 4.21 – while also posting an 8.34 K/9 and 0.85 HR/9. He's produced over 40 fantasy points in three of his last seven home starts and has scored over 30 in three of the other four. Supporting his case further is the fact that the Giants sport a bottom 10 wOBA against left-handed pitching (.312) and an even lower .299 figure on the road.
Catcher
J.T. Realmuto, MIA vs. PHI ($3,100): Phillies starter Adam Morgan has been a target on the road this season, considering the 6.99 ERA, .319 average against, 2.41 HR/9 and .404 wOBA he's generated in 37.1 innings outside of Citizens Bank Park. All of those figures are even worse against right-handed hitters when facing them on the road (.349 average against, .455 wOBA, 3.10 HR/9). Realmuto has hits in six straight games and double-digit fantasy points in three of those contests, along with a .375 average and .471 wOBA with a pair of homers and four RBI over his last four games.
First Base
Adrian Gonzalez, LOS vs. ARI ($3,200): Gonzalez is the first of two high-upside lefty value bats that can be deployed against D-backs starter Shelby Miller, who's yielded a .414 wOBA to left-handed hitters along with a 5.94 xFIP and 39.3 percent hard contact rate. Gonzalez counters with a .367 wOBA, 18.3 percent HR/FB rate and 35.1 percent hard contact rate against righty arms as well as a six-game hitting streak and double-digit fantasy points in two of his last three contests.
Second Base
Jose Altuve, HOU at CLE ($3,300): It's a surprise to see Altuve at a bargain price, considering he's been as prolific as ever at the plate in recent games. The All-Star has scored 15.7 to 22.2 fantasy points in four of his last eight and sports a .437 wOBA, 181 wRC+ and 35.9 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching on the road. The presence of Corey Kluber on the mound will scare some off, but the Indians ace has given up 11 homers at home this season and Altuve has proven capable of doing damage against anyone in what has been an MVP-caliber campaign.
Third Base
Martin Prado, MIA vs. PHI ($3,100): For many of the same reasons cited in Realmuto's entry earlier, Prado makes for a viable right-handed play against Morgan considering the left-hander's troubles with righty hitters, particularly on the road. There's also the fact that Prado has absolutely decimated lefties this season, with a .446 average, .474 wOBA and 202 wRC+ along with a 40.4 percent hard contact rate when facing them at Marlins Park.
Shortstop
Brad Miller, TAM vs. BAL ($3,200): Miller has found his power stroke in the second half of the season, belting 12 homers in 171 at-bats. A lot of the long ball damage he's inflicted over the course of the season has come against right-handed pitching, against which he's launched 24 of his 26 round-trippers. He's hit 18 of those bombs at home while also tallying a .368 wOBA, .335 ISO, 37.5 percent hard contact rate and a robust 29.5 percent HR/FB rate. None of these figures bode well for Orioles starter Yovani Gallardo's chances, considering he already yields a .381 wOBA, 6.12 xFIP, 32.6 percent hard contact rate and 44.6 percent fly ball rate to lefty bats when facing them outside of Camden Yards.
Outfield
Kole Calhoun, LAA at OAK ($3,200): Calhoun has three homers over his last three games, tallying 30.9 and 43.9 fantasy points in two of those contests. He's also been a markedly different hitter on the road, with a .380 wOBA and 42.2 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching away from Angel Stadium and a .384 road wOBA overall. A's starter Zach Neal has been hit hard from both sides of the plate to date in his rookie season and yields a .334 wOBA to lefty bats, along with a 5.89 xFIP and 37.5 percent hard contact rate against them at home.
Khris Davis, OAK vs. LAA ($3,400): On the other side of the Angels-A's tilt we have Davis, who homered again Monday and sports a .342 wOBA, .271 ISO and 39.2 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching. He's been even better against that handedness at home, where he's shaken off the supposedly pitcher-friendly dimensions of O.co Coliseum to smack 19 of his 35 homers. He's also launched 27 of his round-trippers overall against righties, while Angels starter Ricky Nolasco has given up 18 homers and a .350 wOBA to right-handed hitters along with a 43.6 percent hard contact rate to them on the road.
Joc Pederson, LOS at ARI ($2,800): Pederson makes for another inviting bat to target Miller with, considering he's tagged righties at Dodger Stadium to the tune of a .417 wOBA, .378 ISO, 42.9 percent hard contact rate and 32.4 percent HR/FB rate. He's also smashed 19 of his 20 homers on the season against that handedness, while Miller has had more than his share of troubles against lefty bats as detailed earlier.
