PITCHER
Tanner Roark, WAS vs. PHI ($17,100): Roark has already pitched effectively against Philadelphia twice this season, including his most recent start, when he scored 20.50 fantasy points by allowing just two hits and no earned runs over six innings. He's also gone at least six innings in five of his seven starts, while the Phillies have a 25.4 percent strikeout rate on the road, along with an ordinary .306 wOBA.
Dylan Bundy, BAL at KC ($14,800): Bundy doesn't rack up a lot of strikeouts but faces a Royals squad that sports a .284 wOBA and 21.3 percent strikeout rate versus right-handed pitching. He has been steady throughout the season, and though he hasn't been able to flash the same upside lately that he did in three of his first four starts (scoring between 21.55 and 31.35 fantasy points), he's yet to pitch fewer than six innings. Given the Royals' .278 wOBA at Kaufmann Stadium, he checks in as a solid value play.
INFIELD
Ryan Zimmerman, WAS vs. PHI ($9,600): Zimmerman has finally cooled off some in his last three games but draws a matchup that could heat him back up. Phillies starter Nick Pivetta has allowed a massive .581 wOBA, 31.8 percent line drive rate and 54.6 percent hard contact to right-handed hitters, while Zimmerman has compiled a .381 average, 10 of his 13 homers and a .498 wOBA (including .513 at home) against righty arms. The gravy train doesn't stop when Pivetta exits the game either, as the Phillies' bullpen has generated a 5.30 ERA while allowing a .363 wOBA and 2.1 HR/9 to righty bats.
Albert Pujols, LAA vs. DET ($7,600): Pujols gets to take some hacks against the suspect Jordan Zimmermann and an even more vulnerable Tigers bullpen, both of which have been surrendering hard contact to right-handed hitters at an accelerated rate. Zimmermann was on the right side of luck earlier in the season, but that has begun to unravel, as he's now yielding a .430 wOBA, 2.87 HR/9, 5.91 xFIP, 27.8 percent line drive rate and 43.8 percent hard contact to righty bats. Meanwhile, Detroit relievers haven't been much better, surrendering a .350 wOBA and 12 homers to that handedness, along with a majors-high 48.4 percent hard contact rate. Pujols is hitting .304 at home (including .311 versus righties) and also has a .318 wOBA, 28.0 percent line drive rate and solid 30.0 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching there.
Justin Bour, MIA vs. ATL ($6,000): Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz was blasted by the Cardinals in his last start and also surrendered a pair of earned runs over two innings in a relief appearance against the Marlins earlier in the season. He's been tagged for a .341 wOBA and 5.43 xFIP by left-handed hitters, while Bour has posted a .347 wOBA, .238 ISO and 47.1 percent hard contact rate when facing righties at Marlins Park. He's also enjoyed success against Foltynewicz over a small sample (.600 average, one homer, three RBI) and has been pounding the ball of late, posting a 45.0 percent hard contact rate overall in the last 10 games.
OUTFIELD
Mike Trout, LAA vs. DET ($10,400): Trout made his return from a hamstring ailment Thursday and went 0-for-4, but his fortunes could be drastically different Friday. Tigers starter Jordan Zimmermann's struggles against right-handed hitters were detailed earlier, as were those of the Detroit bullpen. Meanwhile, Trout has a .344 batting average (including .362 at home), .469 wOBA, .356 ISO and 38.2 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching this season.
Miguel Sano, MIN at CLE ($8,800): Indians starter Josh Tomlin has already allowed three home runs at home this season, and he also allowed 36 there over the last three years. He has a 9.95 ERA over 12.2 home frames and has given up a .584 wOBA to right-handed bats, along with a 37.0 percent hard contact rate. Sano carries tremendous upside for either cash or tournaments (four games of over 20 fantasy points since April 25) and boasts a .447 wOBA and 57.9 percent hard contact rate against righties, with those numbers rising to .636 and 68.8 percent when facing them on the road.
David Peralta, ARI vs. PIT ($7,200): Pirates starter Tyler Glasnow has been steadier his last two times out, but he still fights control issues, and he's yielded a .415 wOBA (including .426 on the road) to left-handed hitters. Peralta has touched up righties for a .367 wOBA, including a .432 wOBA and 58.1 percent hard contact rate against them at Chase Field. Additionally, the Pirates' bullpen has had their struggles against left-handed hitters, allowing a .338 wOBA.
UTILITY
Paul Goldschmidt, ARI vs. PIT ($10,200): Glasnow's propensity for walks could give Goldschmidt even a bit more value than usual, as he's already been successful on nine of 10 steal attempts this season. He's also mashed right-handed pitching for a .345 batting average, including .440 at Chase Field. His other numbers at home against righties include a .534 wOBA and 52.4 percent hard contact rate, while Glasnow could be in for a bit of a regression against right-handed hitters on the road. He's given up a .351 wOBA to righty bats overall, and though his .300 road wOBA against that handedness is solid, it's belied by his 5.49 xFIP and unsustainable .200 BABIP.
Jean Segura, SEA at TOR ($8,700): The Mariners-Blue Jays gamee shapes up as a potentially explosive one to stack, given that both teams will trot out relievers as their starters and have vulnerable bullpens. I'll tab the hot-hitting Segura as one of several appealing options in the game, given his .474 batting average and .499 wOBA in the last eight games, as well as his .371 average and .411 wOBA versus right-handed pitching this season. The Blue Jays' bullpen, which figures to play a prominent role in this game given spot starter Joe Biagini's likely modest pitch count, has also scuffled against righty bats, yielding a 4.72 ERA and 12 homers, tying them with the Tigers for most surrendered to right-handed hitters in the American League.
