FantasyDraft MLB: Tuesday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft MLB series.

Pitcher

Chris Sale, BOS at KC ($25,600) – With his recent stretch of merely good pitching instead of great pitching, Sale's price has come down a bit — just in time to take advantage of this spot. Sale hit a little rut at the start of June, but it looks like he's back on track after his most recent outing in which he struck out 10 and allowed just one run in eight innings. The Royals shave the fourth lowest wOBA against lefties this season.

Mike Montgomery, CHC vs SD ($10,800) — Montgomery is by no means a safe bet, but he's got a great matchup against the Padres at home with a great lineup behind him. The Padres have the second highest strikeout rate against lefties and the second lowest wOBA.

INFIELD

Eric Thames, MIL vs PIT ($9,300) – Thames crushed four homers last week and has a great matchup against Chad Kuhl, who has really struggled with lefties this season. Thames enters with a .426 wOBA against righties this season, which is 14th in the majors.

Jose Ramirez, CLE at BAL ($9,600)Chris Tillman takes the hill for the Orioles, which means it's a perfect time to stack the Indians. Tillman enters with a 8.07 ERA, but he's been even worse over his past two starts where he's allowed 14 runs. Ramirez is coming off a fabulous week where he posted multiple hits in six of seven games played. He's also the top Cleveland hitter against righties this season with a .406 wOBA.

Anthony Rizzo, CHC vs SD ($9,600) – Rizzo has been on fire since moving to the leadoff spot early last week and leads the Cubs in WOBA against righties this season. Oposing starter Jhoulys Chacin has been terrible on the road this season.

OUTFIELD

Aaron Judge, NYY vs LAA ($10,500)Parker Bridwell takes the mound for the Angels, and while we don't know a lot about him yet, we know that he's in a tough spot facing a Yankees team that is looking to get back on track after a rough road trip. Though the Yankees dropped several games last week, Judge kept up his production, notching two more home runs. Judge remains the best bat in the Yankees' lineup with a .459 wOBA against righties this season.

Lonnie Chisenhall, CLE at BAL ($7,800) – Chisenhall is a perfect fit, not only because his salary is more palatable, but because he's actually he's actually the second best hitter against righties this season in the Indians lineup, entering with a .379 wOBA against righties.

Corey Dickerson, TB vs CIN ($8,800)Amir Garrett had a decent outing last time out, but that came against the Padres, so we can almost discount it. In his three prior starts, he allowed 21 runs in 11.2 innings. A Tampa stack is obviously a wise idea and Dickerson should be at the top of that stack as he enters with the highest wOBA on the team against lefties this season.

UTILITY

Gregor Blanco, AZ at COL ($9,600) – With A.J. Pollock on the DL, Blanco has had a chance to step in against right-handed pitching and he's done an admirable job. Blanco enters with a .403 wOBA against righties this season, which is top-30 in the majors. Blanco faces German Marquez, who, like most Colorado hurlers, has been better on the road this season. Blanco also sits in a prime spot near the top of the lineup that should fare well at Coors Field.

Adam Lind, WAS at MIA ($7,200) – Lind is one of the few Nationals hitters that come at a reasonable price, and he provides plenty of value against righties. Lind trails only Bryce Harper on the team in wOBA against righties this season. The Nats gets righty Edinson Volquez, who has fallen back to earth after tossing a no-hitter a couple starts ago.
